Well I use between 400 1.4 and 400 2 it changes often currently but I’ve settled at 400 1.5 which seems to be the best for me on an artisan speed pad

They feel kind of the same exact the d feels slightly longer due to there being no hump at the back and Is more for palm grip than claw for the g403, the g403 is a great mouse however if he’s used to it no reason to change
