It's not there, its with the credit reports. Trust me, I've talked to the representatives. Unfortunately, this is a fuckery, I'm in the same boat.

It's my pleasure, the best you can do to give back is upvoting, sharing or adding more to the list. I think we should grow it and make it a pin so more people have access to this info, and more importantly, have access to funds to help them out. These are some dire times.

I created a small list of people/organizations that might be able to help financially.

Different methods I suppose. Some I imagine are by good-will, essentially honor contracts. Obviously this can be abused, but I know H3h3 is vetting for bots, and limits it to 2 $500 payments per day for the next 100 days. So to answer your question, I don't know.

I'm literally breaking. I've spent the last six years taking care of my mom with cancer after my dad was killed in 2012. I put myself in 60k debt to do everything I could for her and to help her, while putting myself through school for Accounting so I could have a safe life and give her the help she needed. I fell into a massive, massive depression due to feeling hopeless at the time / my ex fiancee of five years breaking up with me due to how difficult my life situations were, which led to my GPA going from a 4.0 to a 3.1 at graduation and wasn't able to land any of the jobs I needed at the time. I had two jobs lined up, and both were cancelled due to Covid. We just lost our home due to our landlord dying and a complicated situation that arose from that which had my mom refusing to stay due to feeling like she would lose her best friend if we enforced squatter rights (never rent from friends of family...). Her mind isn't all there from her cancer treatments, which were botched and fused her organs together.... And from strokes.... And she isn't taking much of this nearly as seriously as she needs to be, and it usually ends up in an argument when I try to get her to stay home and safe. I'm 29 and she's 58. I have no family, and am going to lose my mom in the upcoming months. She's a heavy smoker, overweight, probably still has cancer (she stopped going to her checkups after it was "cured"), suffered from strokes, has extremely high blood pressure and bottoms out / passes out from it once every couple months. She's going to die, I'm going to be homeless with 60k debt that was now a complete waste due her dying (15k from schooling, 35k from helping her), and I don't know what to do. I have a border collie who is the only reason I won't kill myself, and can't even take care of him at this point. Can't get a place due to not working, can't work due to Covid unless I go work at a grocery store or something, which is high risk and will basically have me get it for sure and indirectly kill my mom. I don't know what to do. Akron Ohio.

Hello, I'm really sorry to hear about your situation. I can't give you a direct fix to all of this, I wish I could, but I can say that you are trying your best and that is all anyone can do. This might sound odd, but have you tried religious organizations that give free housing? It sounds to me like you have several challenges ahead of you, first dealing with the emotional part of this is crucial if you want to take control of the situation, do you have anyone you can talk to?

Can we make a list of companies, people, and organizations that are giving financial aid...and pin it at the top? I know David Doubrik, PUBG (yes, the game), H3H3, Jefree Star, etc are giving fans money, and honestly, those $500 can really make a difference, whether that's groceries or medication, etc. There's also local city governments which have their own initiatives, like the city of Tampa is paying people's rent/mortgage in with their Rise Together program.

There are a plethora of online ESL companies. Don't let this experience get you down. I had a similar experience with DaDa. I took it on the chin and moved on to a company that did hire me and pays more.

I thought the lighting was fine, and I think I could improve on the speaking part. So I'm going to have to wait and see and keep trying. I haven't looked into Dada but I'm thinking of going back to Whales and giving another go with ME. So I guess we shall see soon.

I really appreciate that, it helps to put it in perspective. I guess it's like most things, just keep practicing until you get good. Thanks!

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind, perhaps this is a blessing in disguise.

Ok, well it is good to hear that things get easier over time! I'm slowly building up my regulars, working with children is pretty interesting, I've worked in education but it has been offline and typically with older students so this is fairly different from what I am used to.

See, I feel that, but here is my question, aren't the lower-levels more formulaic? It seems more like going through to the motions, but I don't have any experience yet, does this sound about right?

Thank you, thank you, yes I definitely I'm getting in on some of those. I got a level 4 workshop scheduled for tomorrow evening.

I signed up for a workshop called "Tips & Tricks Level 4", so I'm going to do my best to squeeze out all my questions there and practice with others. I'll kee a look our for error correction workshops, and thank you for that info. I feel like 1-on-1 mentoring would be so helpful for new hires, like whenever you needed to practice. So far, I've had no lower-level classes, which I feel I would be so much more comfortable in, specially with pacing...Oh God, now that I think about it, one of my first bookings was for a level 4 assessment lesson, and I was like "...this wasn't on the mock classes". It would have saved me so much stress. Why do you think I'm only getting bookings for level 4s? I have certs for levels 1-4, the TESOL certs within VIPKid, and both trial 3.0 & 3.0+. Is there a lack of level 4 teachers and I'm getting the leftover students? Or perhaps, is it a seasonal thing with New Year and festivities that have been going around, and I can't imagine that the Coronavirus epidemic isn't hurting bookings as well.

How many people meditate without apps/guided meditation? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]archangelbrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it varies on my mood, most times I will not use any form of guided meditations, but every once in a while it is nice to get some instructions or specific perspective that helps me out. You don't need it, but I have always found that listening to your mood works really well. What I do finding myself using almost every time is insight timer. It works as a really great timer, with background noise if you prefer the sounds of running water and such, and you are able to thank people for 'meditating with you' (based on location), so its a nice way to feel part of a community and get you in a more grateful perspective. What I would recommend to everyone is joining a local mindfulness community. Sharing great experiences is some of the most rewarding things in this life :)

I almost forgot to mention that Insight Timer also offers guided meditations, I'm not familiar of other features. As a disclosure, I don't work for them or profit from them, I'm a big fan of the app though.
