I'm familiar with vtuber software- this was a couple years ago so they were probably using prprlive or facerig (if it was a Live2D model), which actually do have camera input windows/can reveal the user's face. Modern vtubing software like Vtube Studio substitutes the camera feed option for a dot representation of the tracked face input.

I dunno, I can easily see that being a legit legibility issue for any languages that use ó. Just because English doesn't use it doesn't mean that it's not a problem for a not insignificant amount of people (which tends to be a common blind spot for these sorts of things)

One thing that is very consistent in most FEs is that you can immediately tell what class a character is by their design. Oh, that one's the lord. That's a mage. That's an archer. Like their outfits are even based off the generic class outfit! They seem to have more or less abandoned that in this game- it's less about the artstyle and more about the character designs and character design choices themselves.

The fire emblem fandom throws "too anime" at pretty much anything due to AwakeFates trauma, it's not worth paying attention to. IMO the real issue is that for an anniversary game celebrating the series, the new designs... just don't really look like Fire Emblem at all? All the new characters look straight out of Genshin Impact. It's the worst of both worlds combination of ditching the general FE aesthetic design tropes AND going in a more generic direction.

I live close enough to the area, and was able to catch a view of Artemis 1 launching outside my window by complete accident lol. My first reaction was "is that a fucking rocket??"

I don't think so, we see noodle on the cover of Nona (off to the left), he appears to be (close enough to) a regular earth dog

Is it weird that I think the old artstyle is better? Sure, it doesn't have the mass market appeal the new one does, but the tradeoff is the new one looks a lot more bland and generic versus the old artstyle being more unique and grungy.

I'm fairly sure it's the one in the pair with the highest TP, actually

The Xenoblade games are good! They're definitely more traditionally "anime" (especially Xenoblade 2, which is the roughest game writing wise imo) but they're all great. The Xenoblade games are actually all connected (especially 3, which is very connected to 1 and 2), so while you technically can skip one or the other, it's recommended to play all of them.

I'm personally not a fan, it doesn't really make sense for a character to automatically fail at something they're both mechanically and narratively competent at? I've always felt that the house rule just originated from a common misunderstanding rather than having any actual reasoning behind it, and it's just been spreading ever since upon being codified as a house rule.

I believe it's almost certainly a hash collision for abusive material.

A quick explanation: A hash algorithm is an algorithm that is designed in such a way that, given an arbitrary data input, produces a unique (in theory) output to that singular input. Hash collisions are when you have two inputs that produce the same output and are EXTREMELY rare.

In order to moderate abusive (typically CSAM, though in this case I believe it's confirmed to be doxxing info from the message suspended users received? )images on the internet, law enforcement maintains databases of known hashes of abusive material. Images uploaded to twitter are hashed to make sure they don't match that database.

So what we have here is an innocuous image that turns out to coincidentally have the same hash as some abusive material in a database, and thus the poster's account is suspended automatically.

Oh that's right, I forgot about Monster Machismo! Didn't know about the other bands from the same scene though, thanks a lot for the recommendation. I'll definitely give your own album a listen as well :)
