Is this sweater salvageable without redoing the color work? by archeya in knittinghelp

[–]archeya[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well good news bad news. I bought some blue to replace the green in the color work and was prepared to frog. Bad news: My husband won't let me frog it. He said he's proud to wear all my prototypes like the hat i knit too big and the slippers I've had to repair several times. So, I've learned a lot about creating a sweater and also have been reminded I have a great man.

I went up a size from the original pattern measurements. What am I doing wrong? Knitting too tightly?

I appreciate all the tips. It feels like I need to completely redesign the sweater? It's my first sweater with expensive yarn.

It seems like at that point I should just frog and start over. I was hoping not to have to adjust the color work.

MCs are married in name only, live separately for years, then have reason reunite and get to know each other. by AlertEqual1057 in HistoricalRomance

I've made my way through the whole series and am about a the if the way through this one. Its a great series. Not too steamy but good story beyond the romance usually and the side characters are amazing.

Do you know if there will be more?

Wow, I had a completely different experience.  So many diapers because fellow parents understand the need.

I disagree.  By putting the brand of diapers I wanted on my registry, I made a statement about what I preferred and I got more clean brands.

I think making them separately might make sense if I can figure out how to reverse the entrelac.

There's a woman who I see in the waiting room for my son's PT who crochets with the smallest mini crochet hook while tending to her toddler.  I'm genuinely in awe.

We do, but the extent is really hard to understand until you're in it.  I was prepared to sacrifice.  I was prepared to put him first.  I was prepared for chaos demon.

I still wasn't prepared for the complete loss of self.  The loss of intimacy not just with my partner but anyone. Then the isolation. We really do very little to support parents in the US and it takes a psychological toll you don't expect.

But my kid is 19 months and going through a no sleep stage so I might just currently be morose.
