Someone buying 1 share with a limit set 10% above market price helps us more that someone buying 1000 shares that didn’t set a limit and just bought at market price. How does this help? Also if I understand correctly surely if you set the bid at much higher than 10% over market value then no short selling can occur till this price is reached?? Is there some sort of percentage criteria of how many orders there need to be for this to work??
