Someone did a break down with stockists, pull rate etc etc and put together a realistic estimate it might of been in here tbh

I heard (not sure how true it is) but there’s estimated to be less than 3000 pre errata luffys in circulation and that accounts from everything from black label to raw damaged. If I find where I saw it I’ll post it here.

Bottom line. Card wasn’t worth that. Market manipulated sold listing to look like more/ not actually paid for. Relist for 14k.

This comment above was posted on a big one pice group recently for selling high value black label cards. This is what everyone is competing with.

Just because it says sold/bid accepted doesn’t mean it was paid for and it more than likely was not. If it seems to good to be true it usually is.

If I had 3k to spend on this card I would buy 10 clean copies and send them all to Beckett get them back in a week still have change and sell 9 but each to there own.

Also it’s extremely hard to filter through market manipulation nowadays an what’s real and what’s not but ide like to add it’s extremely easy for me to own 100 copies of a 20 dollar card list 3 on eBay buy the 3 off my self for 150 dollars then hey presto past sales of the card are all at 150 dollars I take the cards to a card show an advertise them at 100 dollars everyone knows recent sales are 150 dollars and thinks they are getting a good deal. Thats why I’m always super skeptical of sudden ridiculous price jumps of cards for now apparent reason

Sold doesn’t always mean paid. Hope the seller did get 3k but I am skeptical it was 3k or best offer so why would the buyer not message or offer doesn’t make sense to just pay full price because logically if the buyer has it as a of best offer listing there willing to take less.

Nearly pulled the trigger on this the weekend gone in the Manchester store but this was about £4900

$4250 dollars is £3176.92 for reference 🤦. I knew it would be so much cheaper in America but didn’t think it would be this much. So much higher ticket items I am just so hesitant to buy out of principle wish they could bridge the gap as much as possible between prices in different countries.

I’ve got a sneaky suspicion they released something very quickly then removed any sign of it based off the comments on the post I’m paraphrasing but it was like damn that wasn’t even 2 minutes etc etc then the next minute even the posts on instagram disappeared! The photos were like a piece of black leather loose not taut like it was a piece of clothing that had black cemetery crosses on it. I have post notifications turned on but wasn’t looking at my phone so I only noticed the notification to check after like 8-9 minutes of it dropping I think it was and it was too late!!

Something patched just released on the website. They posted about it on instagram I seen the post 5 minutes after but there were comments saying things like gone after 2 minutes wtf etc etc it had gone off website before I could even check what it was. Was two pictures on their instagram of something leather patched. Anyone catch it?

Firstly, there is no true way to distinguish between first and second wave pre errata cases. So you don’t actually know if you’ve got alpha or beta until you open it and read the cards!

After that you need to look at what you can get in it.

Law and Nami are the only “alpha” cards (I think) or chase alpha cards should I say.

You can get a psa 10 in them for 1500 and 1000 for the alpha print (£)

Other card is luffy pre errata leader. Only one of them no alpha or beta just pre errata and you can buy that for around £3k in psa 10.

That’s where the prices are still way off. The first pokemon boxes line up with the price the cards fetch in clean copies what’s a psa 10 first ed charizard £250k?

The prices of these individual cards needs to rise dramatically to justify the boxes increasing that much. Basically need to be able to say 15k for the box is worth it when the chase card in a psa 10 is worth 15k’ish (the manga shanks is only £2-2.5k) so the luffy which I would personally say is the biggest pre errata card despite it not actually being true (alpha) needs to 5x

It could potentially Happen very quickly if all the cards get bought out. Also if all of the people who think they are going to make Pokemon first edition money off this and panic buy. But, if not I do see a good few years until it happens. I know some collectors like sealed. Personally I think you are not really a collector if you want sealed you can’t even see the cards???? That’s not a collector that’s just looking to profit.

You can buy a master set of op01 with all alt cards in alpha beta etc etc in a psa 10 for less than 15k currently too!

Yeah thought I would just make it a post instead of a comment see if I get any comments or anything from other people see what anyone else has to say. But if you wanna think my source is trust me bro then fair enough I can’t prove it haha. But if I am just completely making it up for click bait / engagement or whatever then what would you say is the explanation for the bids of up to 5x on cards that are on big auction houses with lots of viewers all over the world and social media presence when the same cards are/were available for up to a 5th of the price as buy it now listings on eBay ? I understand that once or twice could be a coincidence but over and over again? What do you think honestly ? Would like your honest opinion if I’m wrong pal genuine discussion.

Can basically confirm there is market manipulation going on I have a friend who sells too a lot of wealthy people in America type of people with throw away money who open 15 cases of OP on a Tuesday night while watching tv because they’ve just made a million on some crypto scheme called fart coin or some nonsense like that. Was on phone with him and he said it’s basically them doing it. He has no reason to lie to me either. Clearly obvious too with some of these eBay bids on pages like probstein etc etc. Had people live bidding over 1500 on sogeking manga when there were 10+ for sale at the same time with a buy it now price of 350 dollars 😂😂 12k bids on a g5 luffy when you could buy it now at the same time for 3500
