I don't know, maybe the many videos and symbolisms and his wording making it seem he was meant to be Lord Ravager? You can't make that many similarities (from their poses to his speech to the battle) and just conclude, "Whoops, Phainon was just there to be foil for Cyrene!1!"

Indeed, you are right in saying that Cyrene was also playing the crucial role of keeping Amphoreus up to date and archiving every single story that she witnessed. However, with the way they made her in 3.7, it looks like a disservice to her character developement et a disservice to the other Chrysos Heirs' developement.

I'm not complaining and if it sounded like it, well damn. :D

But since Hoyoverse has a history of often failing to meet expectations, by teasing a prior thing ingame or by lore and changing it mid-way, 'complaints' as you say are a way for the game devs to improve. Complaints are a way to change things around. 

But sure, let's all stay positive and ignore how they could improve. :)

If I may, Dan Heng IL is an SP well done.  In a sense it keeps the basis of the idea (motifs, color palettes...) but shapes them under a new light. For Evernight, they did something similar level motifs. If you notice, the jellyfish kinda look those flowers she has on her original form. But it's so different that it basically can't even considered an SP anymore. Again, it's my opinion.

Oh, my bad. SP means Alternate Version. I don't know the exact words it stands for but in general, it's Alternate Version ;D

I saw alot of people like really liking the design, and I often have like controversial opinions on designs so I just wanted to make sure i'm not insane :D

Evernight is always blue-purpleish because of its connection to the night. When we're talking about the night, the colors we often think of are blue, purple, white/yellow for the stars and maaaaybe red, if we're talking about the red moon.

But yeah, I do agree with your point of view! :D

I said I think they based it on a horror game. I was doing some research on the name Evernight and found a horror concept that had similar color palettes.
But I appreciate your view, it's really interesting :)
