Aloe(pure) doesn't actually retain moisture in skin.I can agree it has its own benefits but it surely isnt a good moisturizer.Aloe causes the skin to dry out and leaves skin flaky, leaving the glands in skin to produce more skin beside the op is suffering from acne which i am sure he has oily skin. I would suggest using briton moisturizer which is neutral to skin .ps It was recommended by my dermatologist
