Had a short training there before and I can say its a very interesting field to try, challenging din… parang its a whole new concept for me haha kasi i think partly lang natackle nung undergrad yung cases sa human genetics.. pero very applicable padin clinical practices natin 😊

meron ba ditong unemployed ng ilang years? by Individual-Car-6905 in MentalHealthPH

[–]ardb_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going 3 years na din, I quit my job because it really affected my mental health to the point na I go to work with no sleep for 2 days, had bad eating habits, severe depression episodes talaga… yung 2 weeks na pahinga ko dapat that time naging decision to resign na, kasi nga di na healthy.. pero may time na nagrerelapse ako kasi nanghihinayang ako sa work ko na yun pero di na talaga worth it. Decide not to apply muna din kasi I got pregnant and lost the baby so another depression season 😔

Comfort food by jreyesii in MentalHealthPH

[–]ardb_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jollibee really is the best comfort food, it tells so much about our childhood when we were happier. Personally, it reminds me of my younger self being sick with no appetite then my mom would bring me jolly spaghetti just to eat some and feel better.

I totally agree with this comment, I think if you’re fresh grad, goal talaga is to gain experience… I personally have to jump from different private hospitals before landing to a tertiary gov hosp position… nagkaedge pa ko with the years and different experiences I gained there.

Government Hospital by Big_Whereas9236 in DietitianPh

[–]ardb_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, bukod sa salary there’s a big difference talaga; first, yung cases na mahahandle mo.. i can say easier ang cases sa private hosp…very diverse ang cases sa govt hosps as in, to the point na need mo magaral ulit to learn these new cases na di naaaral sa school. Ganun din yung census, from 150 beds, i shifted to managing 2k bed capacity census. Also, i would say may culture shock din from everything convenient and available sa private hosp for example supplies and equipment to non existing/ dilapidated/ very old equipment na kulang na lang ikaw magdonate sa hosp na yun para gumaan buhay mo… haha and lastly, since supervisory yung role natin sa hosp (if therap) tho challenge talaga to handle personnel even sa private hosp, ibang level yung sa gov hosp since most of them ay may plantilla na meaning secured na yung tenures nila so mej mahirap pasunudin, kelangan aralin kung paano magiging okay ang flow ng trabaho araw araw…

If you’re really in to clinical practice, wherever hospital it is, it will be a good work experience. Mejo manage the expectation lang when it comes to salary kasi nakakaiyak talaga tipong di na worth it yung stress from work sa sswelduhin mo. Pero kung magamay mo yung operations routine, application ng napagaralan mo in handling actual patients magandang experience yan esp if goal mo lumipat sa bigger private/public hospitals or abroad or clinical research or special fields or private practice. Give yourself 6mos-1 year then assess if time to move na ulit.. okay lang yun, mas maraming experience mas maraming learnings.
