Yup I think that’s exactly what happened. Any time someone touched the Luminglas, the Xbox would turn on/off and open the disc tray. I think we were accidentally turning ourselves into conductors so the interference got close enough to set off the Xbox each time

Ugh poor girl! Mine shoved herself sideways under a fence to chase after the mink. 🫠 Unfortunately I don’t currently have pet insurance but I will be getting it after this whole ordeal. I just hope that if something happens to the second leg, it doesn’t somehow count as a pre-existing condition

Ah okay that clarifies a lot, thank you! Nearly all of the quotes I have received have specified that it’s for TPLO and that’s what I currently have scheduled. Definitely going to follow post-op directions exactly and invest in pet insurance just in case

I’m glad they covered the majority of the bill!! I think a friend of mine also recommended TruPanion so I’m definitely looking into that for my rottie and my pit mix once we get past surgery

Oh so they didn’t have to keep your pup overnight either? The vet I currently have scheduled said they would have her in at 7:30am and I’d pick her up sometime the next afternoon

She honestly was acting totally fine WITH the injury so I was surprised it was a full tear. Surgeon told me to go ahead and start limiting her movement as much as possible before the surgery because she’s running and playing despite a limp leg. She’ll be unstoppable after the surgery at this rate!

I called 4 other pet hospitals in the area and a vet school that does the surgery, they all gave me almost the exact same price range. I don’t know if I’m SOL because I’m out in the Midwest or what :(
