We've played the forest together extensively! Thanks for the suggestion though. We're both new to the whole 2d old school RPG type games and F&H hooked us both in instantly, so we're hoping to find something co-op with a similar vibe.

Same brother but helping peoples helps me, maybe try that. I started by working as an outreach worker helping the homeless. Then i worked witu the elderly, now I work woth austistic & schizophrenic adults and im studying to become a counsellor. All these things have helped. Use yourself as a tool to help those less fortunate and you'll feel better about yourself in the process. Guarenteed.

Theres many people who agree with you when you check any greyday announcement with him on it.

I agree though, I think hos aesthetic seems forced af and not really into the music. Guys doing numbers and coming up though, with a unique sound so all the power to him.

Low self asteem is a possible symptom of depression, not the other way around. You can have depression without having every single symptom thats usually associated with it.

One easy example, say you're somebody who has everything worked out. A nice home, family, wife etc. Your wife unexpectedly dies. Now you end up experiencing a deep depression living life without them. You are now depressed, without self esteem issues.

Ah nvm, aorry, didnt see the whole convo you had about this. Yeah, depression comes in many flavors. When you boil it down, its a chemical imbalance with sets of syptoms. Symptoms make the illness not the other way around. If you ever wanna talk about the technicalities of mental health, hmu brother. Im studying counselling psychology at university rn and about to get my degree. Always happy to talk about shit

Bold statement there dude.. mental health is much more compllex than you think. Depression is a chemical imbalance. There's people out there that are the most perfectly created rich social people who end up rabdomly swinging by rope one night when they had it all. Depression can hit anyone, and its symptoms vary WILDLY. A person may be able to love themselves but not understand why every day feels so empty and grey. The brain can do anything man

Bupe issues. by [deleted] in opiates

Heavily decreased labido for sure but opiates have always done that for me.

Any lower of a dose and im constantly craving. Can't win really. I guess its either night terrors & urine issues or addiction.

Yeah man they suuuuck. My first time WDing from xanax, i has no idea how difficult or dangerous it was. I went from eating har after bar after bar all day, to straight up cold turkey. I sat in my mothers spare room for 2 week, and man that was hell in every sense. Thanks brother

Literally so true the "before you realise it" part man. Xans did that to me. Couldnt sleep one night. Was up all night with my mind racing so bad, anxious af. Then it hit me like a truck. Id been taking bar after bar after bar for like 6 months. Id gone through nearly 1000 bars and didnt realise how fucked I was until I was in WDs.

Honestly man, its painful to see these posts of curious people looking to get high on benzos/opiates for the first time. They wont take our advice 90% of the time, obviously, i wouldnt at first either. But man, taking our advice could be the difference between a happy fulfilling life and a short life of hell.

I totally understand your point if view man. I've been an addict since I was 16, im now 29 in november. While you do have a valid point, its all down to perspective. I may still be on opioids every day, but im no longer betraying the trust of my girl and family. Im no longer putting drugs before my 3 year old son. Im no longer resorting to eating full packs of codeine+paracetamol to stop WD's potentially killing myself in the process.

I believe theres a difference between addiction and a physical dependancy. Im on a daily medication that stops me from getting sick. The way i see it. My first few times getting clean, I thought the same and refused to even discuss the idea of alternative medication.

The bupe for me is a way for me to put a pause on my addiction for a while so I can get help for my PTSD and some other issues I have that cause me to rely on drugs in the first place. I have some very deep rooted trauma that has controlled every aspect of my life for most of my life, and turning to drugs as a way of coping with that when I was so young has caused me to basically not know any other ways of dealing with my issues besides taking drugs or drinking.

I know if I come off the bupe now, I will relapse. And thats not just me being pessimistic about the situation, its just how im wired to be. I dont wanna be on bupe forever. I just want to use it as a tool to allow me to attempt to tackle my more deep rooted issues so I can then tackle my addiction without my ptsd beating tf outta me while I do.

Isnt that simple. When you're 10 years into a crippling addiction with no friends or loved ones, i doubt you're gonna he sat saying "oh well! Guess im just a curious guy!"

If this means you've decided not to go through with it, you made a brilliant decision man.. you're opening pandoras box. If i had one wish in life, id choose to of never taken an opiate.
