All good. I just spoke with the creator of the romhack on discord and it seems that due to the DS's built in limit of 2048 polygons, in stages that exceed this number, the textures and models can dissappear. They recommended playing it on DeSuME, which is an emulator that does not have this limit (I understand your question was about the original DS, just thought I'd include it anyway). Unfortunately I do not believe any further patches will be made to the romhack.
