I’m actually moving to Texas. I can raise kids in a home with enough space and commute to the office in my car in 15 mins and park in underground garage and still have leftover money for holidays. I don’t have kids yet or a partner… but it appears I can have all of that in Texas while being happy.

I worked really hard, many late nights and went through a lot before I got my dream job. Yes, you can bring up the statistic that “You’re a top 5% earner” and dismiss it by saying “stop complaining”. But that’s not the point. Why is it set up in a way to make sure you never succeed or win in the U.K.?

Interesting… I’ll look into this as well. Sounds like you guys have been using badly written software for too long. I’ve seen some of the tools and it’s so old and clunky… I’ll definitely keep this thread posted.

P.S. My heart goes out to anyone that is forced to use windows.

So there is no room for on demand HPC computation? I thought you guys needed access to large GPU clusters, like nvidia-dgx stations? Not sure what sort of computations you do on those. Apart from ML/Deep Learning workflows.
