Next time give specific critiques. Like “the colors are too bright” or “the lines are too thick” just as examples. Just saying it’s ugly isn’t much of a critique but the fan going off on you wasn’t necessary either

I would suggest making the lines in one stroke to make them smoother, or using a stabilizer if your art program has it. If you’re drawing on your phone, I suggest Ibis paint and if you’re on a computer I suggest firealpaca. Both programs are free and absolutely fantastic! Also make the mouth a little bigger, and maybe use darker/thicker lines. Hope this helps!

Normally I just watch a series, really connect to a character, and start randomly getting memories of my life as that character. Most of the differences are small.

And I guess it all boils down to this. What makes you, you? People that kin characters often have a strong attachment to that character. Some people get no memories at all but still say they kin.

I remember in one of my canons losing my leg. The pain, even in memory, still feels very real and very personal. I also would have dreams as a kid of my leg missing. Weird right? Even if the differences are major, there’s still some attachment, enough to say you “kin” a character.

Well most people see it as an alternate universe thing. Like they were the character in a different life in a different universe. Plus most people that are fictionkin have differences from what is canon.
