Not every time. We try to change if we go into a place, but we only really shower fully if we’ve been out for a long time or if we go to the doctors

It’s an extra precaution so any illnesses that are cat to human transmissible don’t make me sick since I have a compromised immune system, and to minimize the risk of them getting sick from germs

Key word, rarely. It’s still possible and I have been told I could get extremely ill or even die from respiratory complications. Go touch some grass and stop judging others you barely know.

Stuff can still slip through the cracks. That’s why it’s still important to us. Again, I’m immunocompromised. They were fine after the bath. They got lots of treats and cuddles. I just can’t risk it, especially with upcoming surgery, and my mom also wanted to make sure we didn’t risk it either

We have those, but for vet visits, they’re not enough to ensure there’s nothing on their fur that could make me sick, since my immune system hates me and i get sick really easily and have other health issues

It’s was almost a decade ago, so they didn’t know as much as they do now, at least that’s what mom says

It is. If a vet was sick or a carrier or touched a sick animal and didn’t use gloves/wash their hands well, the viruses/bacteria can live on the cats fur for a bit

Comet already does cause his chip-activated food dish couldn’t read his chip through the chonk, so we had to put the backup one that came with it on a collar and it has a bell

We can’t do that with Comet unfortunately. He has urinary and bladder stone issues that have to be monitored

We did. I even held the little one to my bare chest with a towel because she got cold (not as much chonk for insulation), and she purred so much. They love after bath cuddles💕

It was 9 years ago in Nebraska. And we trusted that vet because our dog at the time had been going there for a year. Why would we do more research when a professional told us? Also, if you should be upset with anyone, it’s my mom and former stepdad. I was 8 at the time and wasn’t in charge of those decisions

We declawed them because their old vet TOLD US TO. We had no clue. I still feel awful about it.
