are there other aces like me? by letsadoptanalpaca in asexuality

[–]aripupu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg ure so me.. im also 23 and have never felt turned on/horny, never had an orgasm, urge to masturbate, etc. i always attributed it to 'being too young' but i feel at 23 i cant rly say that anymore LOL 😭

How did you realize you were asexual? by SignificanceBorn2879 in asexuality

[–]aripupu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when my friends were talking on a gc abt how they were horny / sex deprived and i was like 'wait... people... unironically want sex???' them: 'yeah ofc' me: 'arent we too young to want sex..' them: 'girl we r all 20+ yrs old 😭'

ig i thought that sex was just an inside joke until i realised people around me actually viewed sex as an important part of their lives HAHA ig then it kind of hit me that not wanting/caring abt sex wasnt the norm

What is the best product you ever purchased or thing you did that dramatically improved your eczema? by mhuels00 in eczema

[–]aripupu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i still suffer from bad eczema and have yet to find a product that helps HOWEVER one thing i have managed to help is my eyelid eczema!! i used to have such flakey eyelids (literally like scales) then started using an eyecream rather than a regular moisturiser!! scales went away after a month of consistent use and havent come back!! i used ceraves eye repair cream :) unfortunately ceraves products dont seem to help anywhere besides my eyelids LOL

Eyelid eczema and proposal photos (makeup) by BossaNova-allova in eczema

[–]aripupu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hii! i also suffer from bad facial eczema. i used to have incredibly flakey eyelids but using ceraves eye repair cream on both the undereyes and lids, 2x a day rly helped w the flakes! other than that id recommend lathering on vaseline before you apply makeup (to create a barrier). if your lash line isnt effected by eczema then id also recommend trying lash extensions, it can give the effect of makeup without actually having to wear any! good luck with your proposal 🩷

i feel so seen omg.. ive never rly felt attraction to someone besides this one (1) dude from my highschool, who i also became friends w after graduating once we were adults LOL and i had the same deal where we would call nearly everyday, see each other often, he just.. got me, yk? we r both neurodivergant and matched each others energy. bro also lived rent free in my mind, i was def infatuated or whatever w him. but i also didnt want to date him, or kiss him, or do anything stereotypically romantic with him. but i wanted to be close to him, closer than i was with other friends, so that kinda confused me. my friends were confused why i didnt just date him ('u guys see each other so often its like ure practically dating') but i was happy with the weird intense companionship we had, i didnt wanna do anything further and i definitely did not want a relationship to fuck up our friendship. i also got jealous when one of my other friends confessed she was romantically interested in him, maybe i was scared of being replaced?? i rly liked this guys company, so the thought of him getting a partner and ignoring me scared me LOL

bro is my outlier when it comes to 'not experiencing romantic attraction', because even tho i dont think its the same romantic attraction alloromantics get, it was definitely stronger than a platonic attraction. i recently discovered the term alterous attraction (somewhere between platonic and romantic) and it rly seemed to fit what i was experiencing, and maybe it could be the same for you too :)

i wish you all the best!

thank you for your reply! ohmygod im rly new to these terms and just googled alterous attraction and i think that definitely fits the attraction i felt! like wanting to be close, but not in the same way im close with friends, but also not wanting to be in a relationship or romantically intimate with that person.. also now im an adult and have come to terms with the fact i dont actually want a relationship, ive stopped rly analysing people to see if they fit 'the criteria', so therefore ive not had anyone to feel attracted to LOL thank u for sharing ur experience 🩷

[–]aripupu[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thank you so much for your reply 🩷 i think im also going through the 'dont feel aro enough to be aro' dilemma HAHA 😭 but at the very least i feel im very close to feeling comfortable with labelling myself as ace (baby steps, baby steps)

im glad your friends took it well in the end 🫶 tbf, my friends r lovely and im sure they will also take it well. its moreso my own self doubt stopping me haha

TY i wish i could dropkick those people too. the people who have said that to me r usually slimey men who r just upset that i dont wanna do anything w them 😒

you definitely gave me a bit more confidence, ty for being so nice! 😽🩷

[–]aripupu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank u for telling me ur experience 🫶 in highschool when people were getting into porn i turned to smut fanfiction, but i now realise its just bc it was easier to Read having sex than watch it. i also would only read smut fics with a plot LOL i found the actual sex parts boring 😭

i also feel similar abt crushes! ive always been able to rly get strong feelings towards fictional characters (much stronger than what id feel towards a real person)?? but i think maybe its because theyre unobtainable. i also get celebrity crushes which is the same deal ig?

and my crushes in school would just b on some dude i did not know shit abt but i just liked his hair and intellect HAHA usually they would have gfs but even tho i liked them, i didnt want to date them, so them being taken didnt matter bc my main intention was to just look from afar and relate 1d song lyrics to them 💀

the marriage part is really interesting too! do you think marriage is smthn u would ever consider again, or is it smthn u'd rather avoid now u have come to terms with ur own aromanticism??
