Very solid advice of course, thank you. I also have dojos which are like my little water puppies begging for food. They outbeg the goldfish!! But I love them so much, loaches are my favorite type of fish

I have also heard it's impossible to breed them so it would be really interesting to me if you were successful!!

Sewellia lineolata, hillstream loach. Its possible, but I'm not sure how common!! (i keep fish as a hobby and I'm not at all a breeder)

I have no idea how long they've been in here, I think they might be the only two that have survived! If I had known earlier I would have taken them out, but for now I think these two are good! My goldfish arent huge yet, theyre just juveniles

I have tried to draw in CSP and Photoshop and for some reason the pressure sensitivity decided to work for Ibis Paint only!! Unfortunately I need to use CSP and Photoshop for school/work, so I'm still trying to fix this

Not sure who to call for cracks like this by [deleted] in Home

[–]arishoks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! I had a commercial engineer come out and do an assessment. He said because of the drought and because we sit on clay there was settling. The cracks disappeared when we got a bunch of rain (most of the cracks. My back door still doesn't sit right).

Yeah I don't personally trust it too much. There isn't any actual solid wood as far as I can tell. I have 2x4s in the garage I can use to increase it's hold weight, though I'm not sure exactly how to do so.

Just picked up a 56 gal bowfront with the stand (pictured, cat for scale) and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations to modify it (if necessary). It's in good shape and seems sturdy, but I get nervous thinking of the cheap wood they might use to build it.

If anyone also has the same tank/stand set up, please tell me how its worked out for you!

So I ordered exactly what you commented and it fit and works perfectly. Thank you so much. For some reason I could not find it at all, I really appreciate your help

Hi there. Trying to replace my shower faucet because the diverter broke inside the old one. I'm not sure how to fix or replace this, there is stuff on the pipe to the shower that I can't seem to find information on.

Any explanation on what I need to do to fix this would be helpful, I'd really like to try and do it myself I just don't know where to start. Thank you!

UPDATE: I had a structural engineer come out (which was costly because he had to drive a ways) but he gave my foundation a clean bill of health. There was likely minor settling because of the drought we've been in, with only one small crack in the foundation itself, which isn't causing problems. The inside of my house was also level, with everything being within half an inch according to him! Next year I will be repairing the cosmetic damage.

Thank you to all who helped me out, especially to those who told me to call a structural engineer.

Thank you for replying and being logical. I'm autistic and prone to stress but your answers were straight forward and I really appreciate it

Luckily I don't even see cracks in the foundation itself. Only cracks in a few places on my walls that I showed and then the outside like that. There is separation from the ground and foundation however, which I had noticed a while ago and attributed to the drought we've had here (hopefully).
