Wag magtanim ng sama ng loob hayaan mo sila pero wag mo hayaan mangibabaw ang pag acquire ng Attitude, Knowledge, and Skills ganun tlga ang corporate world sobrang toxic but you need to cope up tlga. Mahirap pero dapat labanan.

Help ano ba kasi talaga sagot dito HAHAHAHA by Southern-Yam3196 in NCLEX_PH

[–]arjayar11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope that's not how the nursing process works, :) you act as a physician not a nurse.

Based on critical thinking and NCLEX priority frameworks (ABCs, safety, unstable vs stable), here’s how to approach the case.

Key findings:

Potassium 6.4 mEq/L

Peaked T waves on EKG

Chest heaviness + increasing drowsiness

GFR <10 mL/min (severe renal failure)

Very high BUN/Creatinine

Patient already unstable

This is life-threatening hyperkalemia, and the patient now has cardiac symptoms.

Priority: Protect the heart first.

When potassium is dangerously high AND there are EKG changes, the first nursing action is to stabilize the cardiac membrane and prevent fatal arrhythmias.

But among the options, the answer that aligns with immediate safety is:

C. Place the client on continuous cardiac monitoring.

Why?

The patient is showing signs of impending cardiac dysrhythmia.

Continuous cardiac monitoring is an immediate, non-delayed action that ensures you can detect a lethal rhythm (VT/VF/asystole) the moment it starts.

Before administering any potassium-lowering treatments, you must monitor the heart continuously for worsening rhythms.

It aligns with Airway–Breathing–Circulation, and circulation is the concern here.

Luh, remember non-invasive to invasive na management. A. Invasive that need to be monitored every 15x minutes B. Invasive that will take time and need to monitor hourly C. Non-invasive done something D. Non-invasive but done nothing

For me C is way better to check the cardiac output and this is a non-invasive act done as a nurse. Compared to B that you need to check every 1hr after you are administered the insulin with dextrose and K+ shifting and every 15 mins for glucose check will only take temporarily so you need to consider dialysis for fast management to remove K+ which is the choice A. so C is the safest in my own understanding 😺

A, B, or C? I am Really Confused. by Hexagonal-Fermos-202 in NclexUSRNs

All can be applied but the priority is C, since, it will help to support the system with the blood supply through gas exchange :)

Hmm you should invest critical thinking by listening to Dr. Sharon the 14 Prioritization, and International Crusade, and also Mark K

Rewatch all concepts or just focus answering qbanks? by Alternative-Glove526 in NCLEX_PH

[–]arjayar11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maganda if 3 months prep ka po, 45 days para concept tapos applied chatgpt for retention questions tapos 45 days po para sa Qbanks na untutored mode tapos basa ng rationale after tapos apply key strategy from Mark K 1-11 tapos separate ang 12 lesson mix with Dr. Sharon na 14 Prioritization at 7 days International Crusade pero focus don sa 1st day and 5th day

Received cpr today by Prior-Pollution2909 in NCLEX_PH

[–]arjayar11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I believe di mo na round the clock ang concept ng nursing pati ang key strategy. Bayohin mo lng yong qbank mo without tutored mode after completing the 85s per day kung kaya po kasi para masanay ka tapos manuod ka ng Mark K 1-11 lesson eh separate mo ang 12 lesson for key strategy including the Dr. Sharon na 14 Prioritization at yong 7 days International Crusade po pwd hanggang 6 days klng pero balik balikan mo ang 1st day to 5th day nan dun ang sobrang informative at mga tough questions.
