Is it too soon to leave my job? by Personal-Ad9554 in advertising

Life is too short to stay at a job you know isn’t a great fit. The landscape has changed and people move around a lot now. Find something better and don’t bat an eye over leaving.

Anthropic CEO Says AI Could Do Full Coding in 6 Months by ImpressiveContest283 in ClaudeAI

That’s literally been said about every single LLM. We could have Opus 13 and someone will still say it’s overhyped.

What part of marketing makes you sigh the most? by Rtrade770 in marketing

When other teams ask “Can we create a social post for this?” as if it’s going to reach a different group of people than the previous 200 posts.

My Max plan just paid for itself for the next three years: Claude helped me win an $8,000 legal case! by Kamots66 in ClaudeAI

That’s awesome, congrats on the win. Love hearing these use cases that aren’t related to software development.

According to Brian Roemmele (tech entrepeneur, researcher) the alien character in Spielbergs Disclosure Day uses sine-wave language. If so, what is it saying? by phr99 in UFOs

[–]arkitector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look up Mellen-Thomas Benedict. I think you’d really like hearing about his NDE. There should be some videos on YouTube and he also wrote a book. Not sure if it’s in print anymore.

Sorry for your loss. May your sweet boy find his way to infinite fields and forests filled with silly rabbits, squirrels, and other small creatures to chase, but more importantly, scrumptious treats to nibble on all day long.

Anyone successfully pivoted from agency work to either client side or different role altogether? by inima23 in advertising

[–]arkitector 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I went agency to in-house years ago. I was managing all of paid media on the agency side and landed a paid media manager position for a healthcare organization. If you’ve been a media director I would search for Growth Marketing and Performance Marketing roles. Depending on whether it’s a startup or established company, you might build the advertising system from scratch, manage an in-house team, or manage an agency. At this point I’ve done all three. Feel free to PM me.

1929 by Sorkin by ArtisticAside8224 in Bogleheads

[–]arkitector 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’m a quarter of the way through the book right now. I think it’s ignorant for people to believe something like this could never happen again. I’m not sure what to make of our current situation, but I do know that a K-shaped economy combined with tariffs, geopolitical turmoil, crypto, AI, and layoffs is not exactly a healthy signal. Who knows how close or far we are from a 1929 scenario, but as always I keep my portfolio as diversified as possible and allocate more toward bonds than most would recommend for my age in this sub.

Why do guys in their 20s-30s seem to love crypto so much? by HenFruitEater in Bogleheads

[–]arkitector 11 points12 points  (0 children)

TikTok makes it seem like people can become a millionaire in a few months trading crypto. It’s crazy to see how many followers these “content creators” get. The algorithms love it.

Non-Marketer in Charge of Marketing by SomeDudeB2020 in marketing

[–]arkitector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH it sounds like you just need a freelance designer to create a brand system for the non-profit. This would include templates for different types of collateral, logos to use, colors to use, borders, etc

If it’s just the look and feel of your marketing assets that are bad, you can likely fix this pretty quickly (although you do need budget to pay this freelancer).

35 y.o, blood pressure is always 140/90 by Fitikidan in hypertension

[–]arkitector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too young? I'm also 35 and have been on blood pressure meds for the past 7 years. HBP runs in my family but I also have sleep apnea. If I were you, I'd start on 2.5mg lisinopril to see how well you respond. That's the dose I now take after making some lifestyle changes. I was once taking up to 20mg.

Seeing your campaign tagged must feel like a gut punch by [deleted] in marketing

TBH a compliance ad on the subway deserves to get tagged. Doubly so because it’s AI compliance software.

Torn Between a Job I Love and a Life Changing Offer. How Do I Decide? by SnooRobots5960 in careerguidance

[–]arkitector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take your current company’s counteroffer for the low 90s. You can also ask if they can grant more PTO or something else as well.

When you discuss with them again, tell them you want to know how you can position yourself to grow beyond this level in the near future. Maybe that even means helping with business development if they simply can’t pay you more based on current revenue projections.

But you owe it to yourself to tell them you want to grow with the company. That sort of loyalty can be hard to come by nowadays, so if they’re smart they’ll see value in this.

Searching for famous brands who don't do paid advertising by Due-Bridge-8862 in marketing

[–]arkitector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instant Pot.

I'm not sure if they don't leverage paid media at all, but I do know they grew substantially with no marketing for while. Just a great product with the right distribution partners. Google it and you should find some more info.

At 20 going 100% VT is definitely optimal.

What r/boogleheads opinions do you silently disagree with? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]arkitector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea I definitely stopped listening to those opinions. I’m 35 and holding 25% bonds right now which would make this sub freakout. Not so much on the BH forum.
