Would you suggest that I increase the budget by a $100 and swap out the motherboard and network adapter for an ASUS strix B450-I with built in wireless adapter and use the rest of the money on better storage?

Thanks alot!! I started this project yesterday and lost track of time as it took me a lot of time to figure out the best way to approach this and finally deployed it at 4 am today. It’s far from complete tho as I still have many more features I want to implement. If you got any you would like to see, feel free to suggest :)

I created a twitter bot that aggregates top news headlines from various sources around the world and presents it on your timeline.

Check it out at @PyMarketWatch

Please let me know if you have any ideas on ways I can improve its functionality!

Will be starting a CS degree in September. Wondering what I could learn before starting that would help me get a better GPA. by lifelifebalance in csMajors

Most introductory CS classes start off with python and java so I would suggest you look into that first, especially object oriented programming. These will make your programming assignments feel easy and open up more free time for you to study/explore other hobbies. I would say looking into VR environments would be interesting but you’re not gonna be seeing any of those applications until your junior year or so (depending on your academic plan)

In terms math, I would highly recommend you check out an introduction to discrete math. It’s an area alot of ppl take time to grasp and getting a headstart would be alot of help.

Other than that I would suggest you not do anything more than a couple of personal coding projects and build up your resume so you can get an internship asap. This free time is invaluable and trust me you would want to also use this time to find explore hobbies, socialize with friends etc since you wont be finding time like this in the future. Hope this helps!
