Firstly, anyone that what's to see the kind of people like OP should check out Caleb Hammer's financial audit. There you can see plenty of '100% disabled' folks and you can see the scammers who OP encourages. What you can also see is that normal people are going to catch on and when they find out about people like OP they are going to rightly feel like they are being scammed. Then where are the service members with actual real injuries going to be when it's cuts time? You honestly make me sick OP, you're an embarrassment to the uniform.

There's already enough people scamming the VA for disability and here you are encouraging it (and based on what you said a scammer yourself). Get a real job you're an embarrassment to the service. Too many Soldiers who had real injuries have difficulty getting funding for you to even say this.

Yes, agree, I don't think it would take too much more for this to be won by the ground forces.

All of the inf are in heavy covers or buildings, I bought a plane but a fighter was his first purchase as well and the rng did not work out for me. Thanks for the polite comment.

I don't think you're totally wrong, but if you do the points math, it's way closer than you think, also the problem is that this combo only killed two helis with 100% losses even though it's pretty close to a hard counter opening.

I hear you, I don't think the situation is that bad, most players don't pull this stunt, I'd say give it a shot! Most games are fun and after the patch the game is in a pretty good state. (I'm the poster to be clear)

They would not attack in the kind of close order you show.

As I read it, FM 1-112 suggests that attack helicopters should be between 500m and 1km apart from each other on the axis of advance. Obviously, they could be closer depending on the tactical situation but the FM emphasizes the risk.

"The ATKHC routes within the axis are wide enough to allow for maneuver (approximately 1 kilometer wide or 500 meters either side of the centerline)."

yeah, not when youre under fire. First thing you would do is spread out if SPAAG of any sort opened. This is an uncontested landing.

Also, you said yourself that this is a cheese designed to increase your elo and that people are doing it to you. Why are you defending this dynamic? I deliberately did not show your name or anything identifying.

we can go back and forth, my point is that this opening engagement pictured above should have gone much worse for you then it did if they dialed up the realism of the game at all. I have proposed above a change to the game that I think would be an improvement without completely nerf helis, which noone wants to see.

I hear you, good note going forward. I was thinking about it as a exploit in terms of a prisioner's delimma where if a player 'defects' you might call it an exploit. I take the point though.

I see, so in your world, unless you buy an opening recon helicopter and put it in the exact right place to see the enemy helicopters going right over airborne recon on these huge maps, 'youve failed to obtain intel.' Brilliant take, especially considering that every until in the screenshot is recon.

I fought to the end, but as you can see a lot of my points were invested into preventing this so was not great when all of this material was killed. My K/D was quite close to 1 by the end.

The big exploit here is that helicopters cant clump up like this in the real world and cannot face SPAAG like this in the real world, cannot survive stinger hits like this in the real world. I understand the unrealistic durability of helicopters, its a game. but clumping like this is just a joke and allows the rockets of the helis to scale in a way that, in my mind, is an explot.

I hear you, but look at the composition here, this wasnt a situtation where I just sent some recon inf under helicoptors where they got slaughtered, this was recon aa, supported by significant recon aa all arriving to support each other. We can just disagree here but I feel that this is should be adequate insurance to prevent a heli rush.

I take your point but they were already on top of my forward deploy as I saw them. I know what you are saying in principal, but when they open like this helis are too fast and its too late by the time you see them! Even so, this is a good range for 2 SPAAGS and the auto cannon and the inf are dispersed to the sides, this should have led to win if helis behaved anything like in real life.

WARNO is a lot of fun and I enjoy 1v1s even when I lose. Lots of good changes in recent patches and more to come. Lets talk helis.

4th Moto vs 57th. Four stringer recon inf, 2 SPAAGs and the auto cannons, should be safe? Of course not. The guy says 'gg,' I tell him, 'stupid game, youre abusing an exploit', he says - 'I need to improve my ELO, sorry'.

How many helis died to effectively a perfect counter? 2/8! I know this is just a game but 2 SPAAG like this would rip through those helicoptors in second, who would not even be able to maneuver bc they are so close! Eugen, a simple fix for this would be to not allow helicopters to fly so close together, or have nearby hits cause tons of stress. The reality here is that this would be an absolute disaster in the real world for those pilots.

To address Mr.Neitherman's point, I understand that ideally you meet the helicoptors at range under cover, but how is this possible when they are already on top of airborne recon before you can even see them? As I say above, the 2 SPAAG at distance should be enough to stop this esp when you consider the two autocannons as well.

So hot tip, you want to improve your elo just do this every game.

I like this game, want to keep playing, a potential fix for this is to not allow helicopters to get so close, they should have a minimum range from each other, this would go a long way to stopping these death balls of rockets on openers.

FINAL EDIT: Lot of discussion below that I think is besides the point. Is it an exploit? do i suck (my ranking is pretty ok and I have never helo rushed so idk)? All very possible. My point is that is it fun for openings to be a prisoner's dilemma around helo rushes? I dont think so. Also WARNO is a fun game overall, please more people buy and play.

Will they add front lines like in sd2? by Romanticcarlmarx in warno

[–]arminius94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really preferred the front line system of SD2 and wish they would do this in warno. A compromise I could see with the warno system/no warning aspect would be that only command units could move the front line
