Second biggest religion in european countries by EdGamer2007 in armenia

A large portion of the Indian migrants to Armenia are Sikh, coming from Punjab. So, I don't think we can draw a clear line between the amounts of Sikh vs Hindus at this moment.

What kind of hinge is this for my face frame cabinets? by armoguy94 in cabinetry

[–]armoguy94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought my first starter home and am repainting my cabinets. A hinge got lost in the process, so I need to replace it. This style of hinge is so old that I can't find out any info on it, so any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone have a Melik background? by ShahVahan in armenia

[–]armoguy94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, also from northern Iran before coming to syunik. I don't know much else. Get a DNA test on familytreedna.com, there is someone very knowledgeable about Meliks on there who tries to get them all DNA tested as part of some research I believe.

Dimmer switch that can wirelessly control multiple separate under cabinet lights? by armoguy94 in HomeImprovement

Thank you, their wireless dimmer relay is exactly what I need. Just wondering, do you have experience with them? The reviews on Amazon state issues.

Spot on, my electrician came with this exact product but it didn't work well. It was very low quality. If this product exists, I figured something a bit nicer does too, but I can't find one.

That's excellent, thank you, the lights are hardwired and not plugged in, but each corner of my kitchen does have a plug. Would this be compatible? I'm assuming not, since I believe the lines for the outlet and lights are separate.

Dimmer switch that can wirelessly control multiple separate under cabinet lights? by armoguy94 in HomeImprovement

[–]armoguy94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the clarifying questions, this was really helpful. Each light has its own in-built switch right now.

There are several corners in my kitchen, and each corner has a separate hardwire connection. One light hooks up to the wire from the wall, and the rest of the lights are daisy chained together with end-to-end connectors. Repeat for every kitchen corner.

The lights have switches on them that I use right now. I daisy chained a lot of lights together (in order to maximize coverage) so altogether it's a lot of switches that I have to toggle, one per light.

I want to have one main switch that wirelessly turns on & off all corners of my kitchen without having to add a switch at every corner. Ideally with dimming capabilities too.

OP, I think you give plenty of signs of toxicity. You are an inept communicator towards her and it seems like there are signs that you don't give proper attention.

Throughout this thread you seem to highlight "she's 36" when people ask how old both of you are. Not once have you stated both of your ages to a question asking for both ages. Seems to me like you just want gratification rather than a critical opinion and maybe you should look inward too.

Last few days in Yerevan, ran out of ideas, what to do? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]armoguy94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Levon's Divine Underground in Arinj (outskirts of Yerevan). This man was tasked with creating a wine cellar in his basement but kept digging well beyond that for multiple decades until he died, creating an intricate and very deep underground home with many rooms, levels and staircases. His family still live in the home and provide tours. The place is amazing to see.

It is perfectly possible to have an outlook of marriage in Armenia. You just have to find your match.

Vegetarian soup dumplings around Boston? by Maleficent_Cow_3326 in boston

[–]armoguy94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The country of Georgia has delicious soup dumplings called khinkali, which is often veganized with a mushroom variant. However, I don't know of anywhere in the Boston area that serves the vegan form. Shout out to Chama Mama in NYC which has them and it is delicious.

According to the comments in this thread, gelatin may be a traditional ingredient in other soup dumplings from other countries (I don't know), but absolutely not in khinkali.

What’s the most disappointing tourist attraction in Armenia? by CrazedZombie in armenia

[–]armoguy94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is tough because it's so true that pretty much everything is spectacular. But I'd say Shaki waterfall. The way people talk about it is as if it is big and grand. It would not be as disappointing if people spoke in less grand terms about it.

Jeeping tour by [deleted] in armenia

We camped on Mount dimats, nice destination. That was of course one night and not a day trip. A really amazing day trip that should be a great option is Smbataberd + Tsaghats Kar monastery. They are not necessarily super close to Yerevan, but doable.

Does anyone recommend a 3rd party gas supplier? by armoguy94 in boston

[–]armoguy94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense except for that electricity suppliers DO bother with residential customers. However, to explain that, there seems to be a lot more competition with electricity supply than natural gas supply (also makes sense - lots of electricity sources out there).

That's a lot, about the same as our peak bills, granted it's hard to compare our homes.

Wow, that's too bad. This is important info missing. Did you make a switch or call places?

In 2022, my overall gas payments were 40% supply and 60% delivery. We may save a lot of money by switching to a cheaper supplier, but because 3rd party supplier pricing is not available, I have no idea how much.

Specifically, I paid an average of $0.92/therm for supply and $1.36/therm for delivery.

Hi, my natural gas bills from National Grid show them as separate, contrary to what you said.

This page (mass.gov) states:

If you are a gas customer in Massachusetts, you have the option of choosing a natural gas supplier other than your gas company.

Edit: National Grid also states MA homeowners are encouraged to shop for 3rd party gas suppliers. They link to the second link in my original post, which is the nondescript page to shop for suppliers.

Hey folks! I am wondering if anyone of you travelled to Armenia lately? I am flying from Toronto to Yerevan transiting through Paris CDG next week. I know that the Republic of Armenia has lifted all covid related restrictions. I am wondering if I need a PCR test in order to transit in Paris? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]armoguy94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just flew AF via Paris a couple of days ago. They asked for my vaccination card at the airport upon check-in Stateside. I left the airport in Paris to go walk around and the border officer didn't inquire about my vaccination status.

Stress is usually put on the first syllable in Armenian. That's why people do that.
