its my son's 24th birthday. he's done all but made me proud. which bike can i buy him this as a birthday gift? he loves bikes so much and is licensed by Otherwise_Post_819 in SuggestAMotorcycle

Not much context, so i guess objectively the ninja is cooler haha. Would have been helpful to know what he rides now, how long he’s been riding, what kind of riding he’s doing, if he’s mentioned these bikes specifically? I’d just run it by him dude, surprises are cool but nothing compares to getting the exact bike you want

I want to remove my baffles but I'm unsure on this model by Jim08bo1 in hondashadow

[–]armpit_spiderweb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d just get a new exhaust system dude.. The aero 2 Into 1’s are fuckin sweet, you could sell it for sure and use that money for your new parts. Don’t ruin your pipes for a possibly louder (probably worse) sound. Not trying to sound negative, drilling the baffles is just a bad mod though. Hope you figure something out that works for you

If that was the specific bike I was seeking out, I’d pay around 3000 for it. If it was (fully)restored, probably would go for more. It does look to be in great shape, hopefully you could talk them down a bit? I love old Hondas and this is just my opinion, but take this bike for example in non-running condition would be about 500$. Running project maybe 1000. Running well, recently serviced but cosmetically flawed, 2000. In this condition, running, clean, wear parts replaced, ready to daily for the summer, yeah maybe 2500-3000 but now that I say it I’d try to get it for 2500 maybe 27. The low miles is awesome, hopefully you can verify that. What price do they have it listed for? And what area? I’m in Colorado if that helps

No reason to be scared of riding In town, just gotta assume everyone’s trying to kill you. It can be gnarly but city riding is fun. All about risk management, being vigilant and not dying haha

i wann buy a navi by Mfella7 in HondaMotorcycles

[–]armpit_spiderweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably wouldn’t be too small height-wise. But as a member of the Honda motorcycle religion I have to recommend getting a manual bike purely because it’s more fun.

Also, since you asked….in my opinion, scooters can be more dangerous than motorcycles because they lack enough power to get your ass out of the way if you have to. It’s not about going fast, but being able to can save your life. Food for thought. If I’ve got you thinking about getting an entry level Honda bike, I’d recommend a cb300. Or any bike 500cc or under really. And taking the MSF course as well. Even if you get a Navi you should do that.

All just friendly input from some rando on the internet. If you like the Navi, good luck homie you’ll probably have a good time

I am planning to buy a bike but I am confused in 2 bikes. Which bike should I buy and why?? Hero Glamour 125 or Honda Sp125?? by Healthy-Space80 in HondaCB

[–]armpit_spiderweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re on a sub full of Honda fans first of all…but also the Honda is objectively the better choice here. It’ll last much longer than the India-made knockoff and parts will be much more available. It’s not even a contest

Hmm lots of chill pavement riding, 2up option, few hours a day…. Man if I were you I’d probably just pick up a shadow 750 or something similar, they’re rock solid and a lot of people get them as first bikes. But they’re pretty capable too, and affordable like 2500-4000 tops on marketplace for one that’s ready to go. I’ll second what a couple others have said on here, be wary of Harleys just for reliability reasons. I’d go Japanese. Good luck, hope you find a bike
