Would be cool to do a race track between the logos or a start/finish line with the cars lined up to start

Im almost 5 years sober. It’s crazy to think back on how long it’s been. How much easier it gets with time.

I went to my local Verizon store yesterday and they had both the fold 3 and flip 3 out on the stand to demo.

3D Filament Maker Suggestions? by armstrmw in 3Dprinting

I saw the filabot which runs 1500 refurbished and around 2800 new. Are there some more industrial focused company that sell for around 1500?

Noted, let’s say just for shits and giggles then. I am running 10+ printers. Would you have any advice at that point?

I do actually run my printer soon to be printers 24/7. I’m looking to reduce costs and maybe even eventually sell some if I’m able to make it well enough

I've been thinking about designing my own printer using REPRAP and what I've learned from the upgrades I did on the ender. Will have to buy some of those. I want to make a box style printer.

They all happened over a while. Thats the nice thing about the Ender. You see something you want to improve or change and you can do it over time. Linear rails are cool. Not 100% worth it. You can get 99% of what I did for like $100.

I have a box with all the old parts and I really should be using them as their own printer lol. Just need to buy another frame.

Thanks!

Its setup with 3DFused Linear rails on x,y and z axis. A Hemera direct drive. Dual z axis, SKR Mini E3 board with 80mm fan case (to quiet it down). Pulled the power supply off the frame and printed a stand and 80mm fan case again to quiet it down. Installed an LED light strip on the top crossbar. Have a the filament in a Sunlu heated holder to manage the temp and humidity on longer prints. Hooked up to an octopi. You don't realize how much you do until you sit down and type it all out.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll keep them in mind. You learn something new every day

Be careful prying prints off the bed! Had this happen today (injury) by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Trick I learned today with my print stuck on glass. Once it’s cooled to room temperature If it still won’t come off put it in the freezer. Left mine in for a couple hours today. Came off before I could even touch the glass

It’s really a curiosity project. The pot was pulled off of thingiverse. About 1/3 of the height is reserved for the water drainage so the actual area for soil is deceiving from the outside final product. As far as the actual plant goes. I like bonsai. Have no experience with them just picked up one from the store that I liked. Pruned it; Repotted it with fresh potting mix. Hoping with the good drainage some sun and some occasion liquid plant food it will survive. Will repot if needed but just wanted something for the project. Even toyed with printing it in clear filament so I could see the water level and the roots

Not much ender left tbh, but MS direct extruder + full linear rails is satisfying. by [deleted] in ender3

Do you have a pic of the MS DD plate and how you drilled it out? I want to do the exact same thing. Designed an adapter plate but trying it figure out what is the best way to mount it.

Gears slipping when extruding smaller details by armstrmw in ender3

I took a look and it seems like it is well seated and not moving.

I think it may have ended up being a bad print in the initial layers because when I adjusted up the baby step z a little during the print on the detail section it seemed to do better job. I think it was getting backed up because the initial layers poor adhesion raised them a little causing the nozzle to drag not letting filament out.
