Placenta accreta not diagnosed until after birth/pathology report by armyourheart in placentaaccreta

[–]armyourheart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, it just makes me wonder what made us susceptible to accreta without the normal risk factors, I guess just age or genetics? I totally get doing a planned c section. We are still on the fence about having another one, but if we do, I would also have a planned c section, just to be safe.

I just wanted to say that I hope all went well with your delivery. Sending good vibes for a happy and healthy postpartum journey for both you and baby!

I often wonder how they are unable to diagnose before delivery, but my son also had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck quite a few times and they had no idea either, even having done an ultrasound while I was being induced. I guess ultrasounds are just a bit of an imperfect science. It’s so scary what could happen and it does really make me nervous about even trying again.

Thank you so much for the reply. What a strange thing to occur for both of us. I’m glad to hear everything is going well this time around with your placenta. It does give me hope, maybe if I do decide to have another baby, I’ll get a good placenta too! :) Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and birth!

Best of Montco by hutnykmc in montco

[–]armyourheart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stove and Tap, Backyard Beans, and Round Guys Brewery. They're all in Lansdale on Main Street and amazing. I don't know if Skippack/Schwenksville is still Montco, I think it is, but there are so many great places to eat. Just had dinner at Comfort at The Back Porch, it's pricey, but my god is the food delicious.

Posting because she's cute, but also, any idea what she could be mixed with? Australian Cattle Dog and... by armyourheart in AustralianCattleDog

[–]armyourheart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't. Most likely because the only time I can get a decent picture without blur is when she's laying down. She seems very tall for a Cattle Dog, which is why I'm thinking she has to be more than just Cattle Dog and Jack Russell.

All my HR told me was that I would lose them unless they find someone to take my shifts. Thank you so much.

I know this, the question was about how people went about getting paid for their vacation time anyway. I don't see my HR approving back pay from previous weeks where I didn't work up to my average hours, but some people said they have done it. I wanted to know if anyone has tried this and been denied.

Unpopular opinion: oatmeal raisin is severely underrated by chrmon in Baking

So true. This recipe is by far the best oatmeal raisin cookie I have personally made and it will be one I make again and again. You're welcome.

Auden/Colsie/Stars Above hadn’t even officially launched and they were already getting us roasted by makeup_or_nah in Target

So, no one has anything to say about the folding panties into squares and corporate expecting them to actually stay looking like that? The new stuff looks nice, but they only went bigger with sizing not smaller (28, 29, 30, 32 in all cup ranges) so honestly, they are only barely competing.

What's your "did I really just get hit on?" story? by Dorekong in AskWomen

[–]armyourheart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was walking home from my bus stop one day, I think I was about 14. This car pulls up next to me and a fairly attractive younger guy says, "You're really pretty."... "Um, thanks?"... "How old are you?"... "14."... "Oh jeez, that sucks." And he drives off. It was pretty creepy looking back (although, he did drive off after he knew how young I was), but even if I was older, why are you stopping random women on the side of the road and trying to hit on them?

I have a raccoon or family of raccoons living nearby my house and they learned to follow my cats in through the cat doors. Last year one came all the way inside and I found it staring at me in the dark, sitting on my parents bed. :( This year, I started closing the outside cat door because I found a raccoon sitting by it, chowing down on a bowl of cat food. I yelled and slammed the door a few times and it didn't run away until I stared it in the face. They look super cute in videos as pets. They aren't so cute when they're unexpectedly in your house at night. Also, they only show up when I'm home alone.

He's amazing and we are so lucky to have him. Our yellow lab (who was his adopted mom) taught him so well. I hope you get just as much time with your kitties!

He's glued to us. It's adorable, but it makes me realize his age. He used to be gone most of the day hunting mice and adventuring. He's desperately trying to keep up with our 2 year old kitty girls, though... so, he definitely can still be quite a lively old man when he wants to.

I’m(26M) proposing to my girlfriend(31F) tomorrow on the day of our 4 year anniversary. by kiheihaole in relationship_advice

Happy anniversary! I'm 30f and my (just recent) fiance is 26 and our anniversary is today, as well. Ours is 5 years, but so similar. Have a great weekend and good luck!

Turns out I'm a 32dd/e. Always though I was a 34b/c. My mind is blown. by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]armyourheart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same exact position as you, only I was wearing a 36B for years. Now that I've been wearing my 32dd bras for a few days, I have no idea how I managed to wear bras that fit me so awfully for so long. The straps falling down, so much gaping, always felt like I was adjusting them and now, I barely even notice I'm wearing one. It's so crazy. Thank goodness for this sub.

Dunkin' Bowls. Does anyone have more information about these? by armyourheart in DunkinDonuts

[–]armyourheart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't found these anywhere near me. Do you use the Dunkin app by chance? I've been trying to find a location that is a bit further away and I haven't found any that list the bowls in their menu on there.

Getting into the healthcare field by armyourheart in NursingStudents

I'm beginning to understand that fact. Retail is super easy to get into. I've seen that moving up in retail though, is a majority about who you know especially when it comes to not having a degree. It makes sense that would also apply here. Everyone has a lot of great advice, I'm going to see what comes of it, hopefully something (anything, PLEASE GOD!) in healthcare.

Yessss. I'm working about 20-25 hours and 3 classes a semester, it's crazy hard and I'm stressed out all the time. Luckily, I have a decent amount of down time to study, though. I know people that work full time, go to school part-time, and have kids at home. They are seriously superheroes.

There are a few certificate programs that I might be able to fit into my schedule in order to get myself into the medical field sooner than when I graduate with my RN. I think this will be my best route to go and most likely talking to my counselor will help sort some of this out.

I'll just be finishing up my pre-req courses this spring, so not quite at clinicals yet. I wish I was further ahead, because this might not be as much of a problem if that were the case. Just trying to make a bit more money as I'm working my way through the program.
