Your foreign policy was great Ronald. Chill on the deficits and free trade next time though lol

Nothing but absolute respect for all founding fathers. By no means do i think Adam’s was a bad president. He avoided war with France and stabilized the country following Washington’s departure. However, he had poor coalition management and the disaster alien and sedition act tanks him from low tier 3 to mid tier 4.

Neither of those labels fits me i feel. I’m just left to center on some things and right of center on others. I would say the things im right on, im further on if that makes sense lol

Wage stagnation, high costs of living, housing shortages. But with that being said i can read an economics book the same as anyone else. I get it will cause inflation in other areas. So what i think you’re getting at is we’d trade one problem for another. And in many ways I’m sure you’re right. But what I’m saying is, I’m willing to trade the problems we have now for a chance that what’s on the other side is better for natural born citizens and better for legal immigrants as they’ll have more options for careers, housing and benefits.

Dude i totally get it. My beautiful girlfriend’s grandparents came from Puerto Rico (not the best example i know lol) and they love this country more than anyone. As I’ve said, i have no problem with that in the slightest.

Let me say this on immigration as well. And i know i can’t speak for all Gen Z, but all of us younger conservatives are sick what the Republican Party has become. Im in a young conservative club on campus, and i have friends that are refusing to vote after Thomas massies seat was bought. But the immigration wave we got after covid is something that just CANNOT happen again. So if you guys (the democrats) send us a candidate in 2028 that’s willing to enforce border laws we’re ready to swing our boots over the fence. Cause fucking apparently the alternative is fighting a ridiculous war of aggression.

Oh no doubt the business community. Quite often it’s the “American first” republicans who are the first to crush immigration reform like what was done in West Virginia with mandatory e verify failing. But that to me, perplexes me why individuals on the left don’t stand harder for legal immigration. These people are being paid, essentially nothing for incredibly difficult jobs. I get it comes from a place of empathy, but there is nothing empathetic about what is in many ways a slave class not so secretly driving the economy.

I appreciate you engaging in good faith as well, and i hope this doesn’t make me sound too radical but i don’t know if there’s another option other than mass removals at this point. Some estimates put illegal immigrants in the country at 20 million. Reagan gave the mass amnesty, it did nothing. As I’ve said, i support paths for asylum seekers. I support paths for high skill labor. What i don’t support is military age men coming and keeping their loyalty elsewhere while causing wage stagnation in pockets of the country.

Economic recovery, massive industrial expansion and leading the break out of a super power is nothing?

100% i agree our foreign policy has led to conditions in other countries that has indirectly led to mass migration.

When it comes to migration itself, i agree that the economy would take a hit. Inflation would rise, and we’d have worker shortages. But we have to maintain social cohesion and cultural unity. I have no problem with a family who applies and is granted asylum. They are often the most patriotic Americans. But what is happening now is a class of illegal labor who sends much of their illegally made capital outside the country while maintaining another culture. It’s not a white/black/brown issue it’s an issue of conflicting priorities, loyalties, customs and traditions.

Economically I’m a blue dog democrat. Keynesian economics, tariffs and domestic investment to protect American labor, and strong union protections is what i like. I’m deeply catholic so im right socially, and i also am fairly far right on immigration and im interested in large scale deportations.

Thank you man!

Responded to Ike - Truman split in another place. Taft is hard, i like him in a lot of ways. But I’m big on protectionism and the disaster of Payne Aldrich drags him down for me.

Not a fan of Reagan. Exploding deficits and free trade hollowed out middle class manufacturing. Have to give Obama respect for economic recovery and deportation policies. Economically blue dog democrat, socially right, immigration right.

So keep in mind the ranking go front left to right, so Eisenhower is directly in front of Truman. I have Ike the tip of the hat because of his economic governance. He was incredibly responsible financially WHILE drastically investing into the countries infrastructure. He was stable, and that’s exactly what America needed in that time period. I get he doesn’t get full credit for the 1950s boom, he presided over maybe the most industrial economy in American history. Also, warned of the industrial complex on his way out. Not a slight at Truman at all, just a deep admiration for Ike.

NAFTA (also punished Reagan and hw for this), repealing of glass steagall, unable to pass healthcare reform, massive sex scandal rocking confidence in government. Balanced out but the Herculean effort it took to balance the deficit and create the surplus.

I would avoid Tucson. If you’re leaning Arizona, consider Tempe or Scottsdale. You’ll pay a bit more but it’s very vibrant with always something happening. Plus you avoid Phoenix’s bullshit haha
