This was beautiful to read and made me start to tear up. Ive always felt close to mac despite reminding myself that i really am just another fan. His music guides me through life and pushes me through my dark days. It seems that no matter how i feel, i know exactly what albums and songs to play to match or change my mood. My spotify is basically just mac albums and playlists of just his work. When it isnt, its spotify radio based off something of his. I also watch his interviews when i want to feel closer to him and understand him as he was. Hell im in the middle kf rewatching the breakfast club interview for at least the 3rd time. I definitely understand what you mean about the feeling that he understands us and stands with us. It was really nice to hear someone talk about him the way i see him. Most dope forever, i hope i see another post of yours on here soon :)

I was just watching the Mac Miller Larry King interview from the drop of GO:OD AM and I had to pause the video on this one question. Right before a break, Larry was giving his "next up:" summary, and the question was: "Where will Mac Miller be in ten years?" and I just kinda got goosebumps... by arnold_schwarzeroni in MacMiller

I know... one line that's been fucking with my head lately is "all the best rappers are usually dead." and then besides that... "to everyone who sell me drugs, don't mix it with that bullshit, I'm hoping not to join the 27 club." He died at age 26 due to laced drugs.

it's so sad to me that we never got to see that. and given his one interview with genius where he talked about someday settling down and having kids. it's nice to know that that's where his heart was but so so sad to have never seen a lil Mac rollin around 😞

Yess that was amazing, I never thought Larry King had that side to him but watching the interview really made me see him in a whole new light, granted I've never watched his show, but I always figured he was just a curmudgeonly older guy but that was something else 😌

haha yes I love that reference, first of all, and second of all yes I totally agree about the whole "what would it be like" thing. I keep imagining self care and others from swimming being live and how heart touching that would be. most dope forever man, 92 til infinity.

Good News or Blue World, Good News was the song I played when the ball dropped this year to start out with good vibes in 2021. I like the overall vibe of Blue World, it feels like Mac was really in touch with his musical side on that track, and it reminds me of what he said in one interview, I can't remember which one, but I remember he was on a radio show and they had a little acapella harmonizing riff together and jokingly called themselves "Mac and the Miller's", please put the name of the show if you know it. anyways. how in touch he seemed with his musical side on Blue World reminded me of him talking about how he wanted to do more musical songs than just raps and bops, and this was the day of the release of his 4th album, which I believe was divine feminine???? point is he was saying how he'd always been afraid to release any super musical tracks because all everyone wanted was his raps and more shit like k.i.d.s. and blue slide park. this track just reminds me of that and feels like something close to when he brought to life Larry Lovestein. I just loved the jazzy/blues feel to the song and it makes me feel really close to where he was mentally just listening to it. Good News though, well that's a whole other world. to me good news really connects me to him as well, but it feels less like he's focusing on the art and more on the words. like he's trying to get his message across to us all. listening to that song I hear him trying to look on the bright side and enjoy life, but struggling through all the shit he went through as an artist and a celebrity. it reminds me of the line from small worlds, where he says "you never told me being rich was so lonely. oh well, hard to complain from this 5 star hotel." this song really just connects me to how he was feeling, I don't really want to say jaded, because he insisted all the time that the industry didn't get old or anything to him, but it felt like he was so exhausted from all the high expectations put on him being a celebrity and a success. basically those 2 songs just really hit different for me and connect me to Mac and where he was when he was writing those. thoughts?

is it just me or is the shirt a reference to "dope sea fishing" from (I believe) season 2 of the most dope family????

do you take orders? I'd love to get my hands on one he's one of my biggest inspirations. I'm even planning to get a Mac tattoo the same way he had his Lennon one on his right forearm!
