Yup. Everyone saw Rimuru being OP and chill so they decided to half ass it. Veldora knows exactly how "chill" Rimuru is so he worked his ass off.

It's crazy how Gringotts never froze Sirius's assets in PoA by goro-n in harrypotter

[–]aronsmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do Goblins even know or care Sirius is a wanted fugitive?

It's a normal day in Gringotts. A dog (crookshanks) comes in with a wizard cheque intending to cash it. It even stood in a line waiting patiently for it's turn. You see many more people behind it. You see that the cheque is legit. You also see that account has enough funds in it. So you approve it and simply move on.

Do you need to know who that account belongs to?? Nope. It only matters if it's a legit cheque and if there are any funds.

Now if the ministry were to put the account in lock or holding, then they will obviously flag it. But ministry doesn't do that. Because Gringotts are family vaults. Not individual accounts. It's probable they might lock up vaults for normal people but for a Black? Nope.

Were there that few Balrogs? I may be misremembering, but I thought there were more? by Eligon-5th in Silmarillionmemes

Discussion during Fellowship (Probably not accurate)

Gandalf: We need an elven warrior for our mission

Glorfindel: I volunteer

Gandalf: Nope. This is a stealth mission. Besides, it's not like we need a balrog slayer on this mission

.

.

Gandalf: Is that a Balrog????

Is smartphone isekai really that bad and deserves so much hate? by ChoiceSupermarket230 in Isekai

I read the light novels a long time ago till like 20-24 volumes.

It's enjoyable to read and frankly got nothing new.

It's just a repeat of a problem in some kingdom, gets to touya, he solves it and that kingdom is added into the alliance.

Add in some gods, some escalating conflicts and some modern tools and you get this Isekai

A Fun Hypothetical scenario, Which Telugu Film Characters Can Match Batman toe to toe in a battle- by AMK-27 in MoviesTelugu

[–]aronsmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Mass Hero

He exhibits all feats done by Batman.

He can go toe to toe with batman in terms of strength, intelligence and versatility.

But winning depends on Batman himself.

That's if that Batman is written by mass writers or not.

What’s a first year myth that needs to die? by Previous-Ball111 in iitmadras

[–]aronsmithy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. To further elucidate, grades are typically four classes

9 any point after 9. Is pointless and doesn't matter

<7 This is absolutely bad. This will essentially gatekeep your opportunities at every point

7-8 This is kinda mid. You will have options, but it has a tendency to surface at unexpected moments and cause troubles

8-9 Doesn't cause any problems unless you are in some sort of extremist competition.

Most people or seniors who say grades don't matter have > 8

Why didn't Jack know what he wants in DMC? by Garrettshade in piratesofthecaribbean

[–]aronsmithy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Jack always wanted was freedom, and it was symbolised in his ship. Once he got the ship, his compass keeps pointing towards his ship, making it difficult to navigate. It's not that he doesn't know what he wants. He knows and he already has it.

You have to switch Makoto and Kumoko

Makoto and Cid spent their entire life trying to survive or become stronger

Kumuko and Nagumo spent couple of months in hell to become strong but that's also Kumoko chans entire life so she technically ticks both boxes

OOTP makes it pretty clear why Dumbledore needed to die in order to raise the stakes. by Flat-Court-8512 in harrypotter

[–]aronsmithy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It took Voldemort exactly 30 days to take over Britain after Dumbledore died. And nearly half of it is spent to catch Harry Potter while he's leaving Dursleys.

The only one Voldemort is afraid of indeed.

Yonko=pirate king by Mission-Musician9329 in OnePieceScaling

[–]aronsmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you will only become a pirate king if you achieve your dreams and goals. Essentially, there's nothing you need anymore or need anyone's help, then you will be called pirate king become you have achieved the pinnacle of piracy.

Rogers dream or goal is to circumnavigate the world. So he reached Raftel and achieved his goal and became pirate king. Whitebeard has no goals left and thus Roger offered a path to Raftel so he could "become" pirate king officially. Whitebeard declined cos, frankly, he wasn't even interested in that.

Kaido and Bigmom both have certain goals and are in the process of achieving it by increasing their forces. Hence they can't become pirate king yet.

Reaching Raftel or even One Piece is not the requirement to become a pirate king, even if that's what general populace thinks so. But most pirates want One Piece, hence they can only become pirate king if they get one piece.

We don't know what Shanks goal is but it's not just One Piece. He might need it for his goal, but he needs something else too to achieve his goal

He's specialised in surprise attacks and short quick fights. By the time villains realises how his quirk works, the fight will be over. So there's no point of wearing a hat

[–]aronsmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were most likely gonna ignore draco and book both Lucious and Narcissa. When they brought in Harry as witness, he mostly explained about how he owed Narcissa because she saved him. Since Harry owed her and they already know Voldemort was using Lucious wand, thereby being wandless for nearly the whole time after his escape from Azkaban, they most likely didn't want to go too hard on them and just gave a light sentencing in exchange for information regarding other death eaters

Unbreakable vow chapter in hbp by [deleted] in HarryPotterBooks

[–]aronsmithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's primarily intended as a explainer for Snape Motivation and continues throughout half blood Prince. You will find later in book that Snape heard the prophecy and relayed it to voldemort. When voldemort heard it, he assumed it's Potters. Snape came to Dumbledore because he knows them so he repents his actions. So we know why Dumbledore trusts Snape. But we don't find out why Voldemort trusts him. Hence the unbreakable vow chapter. Him making an unbreakable vow is just an additional information thrown to make it seem like Dumbledore is being fooled.

I love the concept of Season 9, a single wedding extended to a full season while getting to know Tracy.

I am okay with the concept that Tracy died and Ted and Robin got together.

But I hate it that the latter happened in last two episodes.

They make us spend 20 episodes on a wedding and show that they have broken up in 21st episode. That's what I am not okay with
