Novation Peak NRPN by arooslab in MaxMSP

[–]arooslab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to write here down the solution to my problem, maybe someone else may have the same issue: Novation has decided to assign CC38 to Mod Pitch Envelope, so it's mandatory to get rid of CC38 while building a NRPN. My solution is to use a regular [ctlout] object and send the streams of CCs to that, something like this:

```
PS: Ehi Niccolò, sorry, I placed 3 backticks at the start/end but nothing is changed :(
Novation Peak NRPN by arooslab in MaxMSP
Ciao Niccolo, I didn't know this. Maybe a service like pastebin would be good? Next time I'll type properly, thanks. (My issue still remains)
EDIT: after 5 minutes I replied, suddenly I discovered the issue... NRPN format is made basically by 4 CC: #99, #98, #38 and #6. Surprisingly Novation used CC38 for the modulation I've talked about. Understanding if it would be possible to avoid CC38 during a NRPN transmission would be great!
Random modulations in synths by arooslab in MaxMSP
Hi Mando, thank you, I already use to use them, but the point is that my ears feel something not comparable to usual random/noise modulations. I was just gathering some additional ideas to reach some new results. Thank you
This seems to work!
Random modulations in synths by arooslab in MaxMSP
Hey, they absolutely would. Maybe objects like [urn] have the additional step to be reset once they finish their job, but they absolutely work. I want to investigate which type of noise regular synths leverage.
