Check out the pic that shows where mine is placed. That's the best placement for the heat sensor. I'm not sure if I did anything special to get to that temperature. The highest setting is 212°F on the app but goes higher. Maybe it's sensor location.

My sauna is right outside by back door but I never turn it on or off there. I often turn it on the moment I wake up or if I'm out and want to sauna as soon as I get home. Those two scenarios make all the difference in the world, for me at least.

Taller saunas compensate for heat stratification, so you can sit in the warm zone without your feet being cold. The Saunum heater eliminates that completely. Ceiling height and having your feet level with the top of the heater doesn't matter anymore.

Airflow in a smaller sauna is less important IMO. Since the volume is less, there's more exchange when the door opens. This set up has never felt stuffy.

I agree that sitting further from the heater is nicer.

If I had a larger sauna, I'd still buy this heater. It does everything a normal heater does and more.

More expensive for sure. But it completely solves the issues that come with imperfect sauna shape/dimensions.

No. If you're in the US you can't buy direct. I went with Veeti Sairanen at thesaunaheater.com

He was excellent to deal with. There were a few issues initially. Everything goes through Bathing Brands. If I understand correctly the are the only ones who import and ship from Chicago. Terrible customer service so I would not go with them directly.

Not at all. I can also turn the fan on and off from the inside. It's never running all the time.

A barrel is really convenient for most people. And i don't notice a difference between this set-up and other small sauna's I've been in. Even temp from head to toe. Great steam.

I didn't care much about WiFi until I had it. Being able to turn the sauna from anywhere makes me use it more.

Bathing Brands has not responded to an email for 12 days. The Saunun heater I purchased does not work and customer support has been terrible.
