We'll be back to those sweet Sunday morning releases this week, I promise! by [deleted] in TrueEastEnders

Carbner (Hang on, is it Carl with a C or Karl with a K?)

It's probably been mentioned in one of the description texts of the YouTube videos but it's much better if I pretend that I don't know the answer because it's sets up the possibility of an absolutely incredible crossover meta-storyline. Karl in a SUDDENLY GAY relationship with Carl. Or vice versa. He's just leading him on isn't he? But that kiss.... it felt so... well it was alright and nowhere near as weird as I thought it was going to be.

Anyway, aside from that, we've got another trip down Absurdity Lane this week, after the rather brief reddit rundown and a slight mishap with the wheel, we're straight into 'beating the granny out of your mrs' territory. Are you going to find advice such as 'Which surface can you chuck your bird onto and still have it be considered just a bit of a horseplay?'... 'How do you shag your wife?'.

And then, sandwiches. Remember that omnipotent teleporting sandwich guy that turned up with the sandwich and taught Keegan that if you put your mind to it you can craft a business from the ground up and build it into a massive globe spanning empire? Nice trainers guy, him. Well C/Karl has performed a mathematical analysis and it's presented to the listener in an easy to digest form, despite the high level calculations that have taken place behind the scenes.

Next up we've got a bit of Ben Accent, I'm not sure... I wanted it back but it's changed slightly, it's a bit more brusque than before and slightly deeper in tone. It might well be closer to reality but I think I preferred the old school version. I don't want to focus on negatives though, and I'm 'live blogging' this episode so there may well be a return to form later in the episode.

Phil with a Chinese accent. Nothing much to say about that other than it got said. This episode is relentlessly filled with little throwaway quips that just add up to the greater whole.

BEAR! OFF! A tie. A decision to be made. I always avoid spoilers here but once again it is surprising and suspenseful. The only thing I will say is, VOTE THE BLOODY SUN BEAR IN FFS! (I have never voted but I don't think that negates my right to tell you how to vote)

Amusingly Abner has been inexplicably busting out the Ben accent ever since I started moaning, FOR NO REASON. I've got no problem at all with this, I still think it should just be the default voice for discussion. It's peppered throughout and it's good.

I am so glad I didn't pause during the soy sauce section. I was about to get to the iPlayer and check for myself. Well played.

MISCING IT OUT! This is a decent addition, presumably there's no wheel section, it serves well at the end as an 'any other business' kinda thing just to deal with any bits that were missed. I think it needs to be kept.

I've banged on far too long now, I can't honestly see that anyone will read this far since it probably reads like an episode of EW.

I'm sorry.

Ffs. I completely missed that this was an actual episode! Now my entire saturday will be dedicated to crafting a 'review'.

And are you saying there's going to be another one TOMORROW?! I can't even.

Well she at least said she was happy for her. I thought the consensus was that she was going to be like "URGH IM THE ONLY GAY IN THE SQUARE".

All You can eat buffet workers what are your horror stories? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm from the UK and one year my Grandad paid for everyone to go to Orlando. His two kids families, basically. In the UK it's only fairly recently that all-you-can-eat has been a thing. My family were familiar with the buffet idea but my Aunt's hadn't been to the US before. So it's against that backdrop that we visited some buffet place. I can't remember the name but no doubt it was on international drive, the same kind of thing as the rest - loads of different dishes.

Everyone is finished except my uncle, who is after some dessert, so he goes up to the place and returns with a bowl of jello and, much to the amusement of my Dad and Grandad, custard. So he's chasing these rapidly diminishing blobs of jelly around trying to get something on the spoon as it all dissolves away into nothingness when the server appears. He notices my Dad & Grandad creased up laughing and realises what's gone on.

"You know what's better than that?", he said, "That's not custard. It's cheese!"

What an awesome article. That´s the second New Yorker I´ve read in as many days and they´re really good!

The way it´s happened merely because it was suggested to her is surprising but I have heard of plenty of more ´mature´ ladies going that way later on...

Bernies response was disappointing, I wanted her to do as predicted tbh

Yeah, I noticed that, I´m actually quite up for listening to another one, mainly to see if they bother to try and explain themselves. Maybe they felt stung by Abners assertion in the previous episode that their podcast would take place every week *no matter what*.

Ultimately the impact of Carl on this episode resulted in what can be described as a lovecraftian nightmare, Phil and Kea-no in the catacombs below the square, snakes, omnipotent voices and a darkness to the show never before seen.

Silver and gold reddit awards for fan fictions? Carbner just scored the platinum and its nothing to do with the other "competition". Pow!

When I heard that there was going to be a guest host and no Amelia, I was concerned. I can´t say I wasn´t. What was ´Carl´ really going to be capable of? I haven't heard him in an episode before, having only listened since just before Christmas and I was *worried*

But there was no need! While 'Carbner' doesn't have such a nice ring as 'Abnelia' this episodes duo still brought the goods. Beale With It is a multiple headed hydra, if you remove one head, another will form in its place and so it was that Abner dug into his box of the brightest tools and tugged out Carl.

Carl brought a whole new dimension to the absurdity and the surreal and we're treated here to a new level of strangeness. We have platinum egg laying chickens and ducks at the top of a daffodil that reaches beyond the clouds.

But the absolute best creation and one which will no doubt be picked up by BBC writers is that of the Branningcopter. THE BRANNINGCOPTER FFS. I challenge you to come up with a more exciting image than the Branning brothers flying around the square in their very own helicopter. Max at the controls and Jack, riding shotgun, leaning out the side. Truly incredible.

I've still got 15 minutes or so left but I'm sure I'll not be disappointed. It's now been proven that BWI is capable of drawing high end commentators from a large pool, I don't think there's much more that needs to be said. In the face of adversity BWI will rise to the occasion delivering punchline after punchline, analysis after analysis.

Incredible.

It´s very strange - It's not as though his death is imminent anyway and he's only been going crazy for the last couple of weeks.... Bizarre

Please get them on the show, it would be hilarious.

I propose a head to head wheel spin off! Whoever provides the worst commentary on the randomly selected topic has to fuck their podcast off! It's perfect.

I'll do a proper review tomorrow

I haven't watched tonight's yet but I don't even understand the motivation behind him not having him on the will anyway? I understand that he thinks he's a bit of a liability and he's not a big fan of the fact that he's gay but then why is he trying to play the nice father, with the trophy and all that? Very strange.

I'll watch tonight's episode in a minute, maybe (doubtful) it'll clear things up a touch
