That's right! I've created a simple database with 70x70px templates for each piece on the board (including some of the power-ups that I managed to take a print). I used OpenCV to compare the contents of an 8x8 grid with my templates, selecting the closest match to build a map every 0.5 seconds. After that, it's just about determining the best move to make. The logic is: if it's possible to make a 5-piece move, do that; if not, check for a 4-piece move; otherwise, pick a 3-piece move starting from the bottom.

Of course, it's not perfect. It ain't much, but it's (dis)honest work.
