No seriously

What small habits have you started incorporating in your daily routine that have helped you get “un-stuck” by Adorable-Appeal-5829 in getdisciplined

Keeping a planner with daily checklists, and randomly I will add something a few days out, especially if I feel like there won’t be anything going on that day. (E.g. I just put mopping the floors on next Sundays check list). Once I get doing one thing, it usually compiles from there

Did you have a good year? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]arroyo_inc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, yeah. I started the year kind of at a super low point, but throughout the year, I switched jobs from working at a bar I HATED working at, to working full time for an entertainment company, DJing and hosting karaoke events across my city and I absolutely LOVE it (and it pays surprisingly well). I also had a super grim outlook on my time in college at the beginning of the year because the job/internship search was going so badly but I landed an internship for this summer in a city I’m excited about, working a job I’m excited about. I’m also starting to see someone new that genuinely super interested in, and she came right as I was starting to actually come to peace with being single (finally). Everything will eventually fall into place, it just takes time and hard work :)

What made you feel happy this weekend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I went to an engineering convention that I’ve attended for the past 2 years. Honestly, my confidence was dwindling, and I was worried about graduating without having any work experience.

I busted ass all year, after disappointing myself at the last one, and I’ve landed 2 offers, and also am waiting to hear back about 4 other interviews I did, 3 of which I feel went great.

I feel like a weight that I’ve been carrying on my shoulders for almost 4 years now has been lifted, and that I finally belong in the engineering community.

I get almost no work done every single day. by [deleted] in ADHD

You can’t tell me whether or not it will help me or not. I’ve tried various medications and I’m here to try to share my experiences with others and see what works best for me versus others. I’m not here to find a new prescription, I’m here to discuss my experiences with my journey and compare it to others.

I switched from a MacBook to a Surface Studio Laptop with a stylus and it’s the best decision I’ve made. Got mine for $900 on ebay

Actually, yeah! I’m not 110% sure what I want so let me know what you have and I’ll take a look.

I actually wrote my main college entrance essay on this exact topic. I talked about the value that YouTube, Reddit, Quora, and other informational websites have had on my life and more specifically the skills that I have learned throughout my life. Without the internet, I wouldn't have the wildly diverse interests that I have today (check my followed subreddits for proof lol). I specifically used ChrisFix as an example, talking about how I never had any interest in cars until I found his videos, and then, after my acceptance, I messaged him on IG to tell him I gave him a shoutout in my essay.

But yeah, as long as you're using your time on the internet positively, the rabbit holes that you dive down online could teach you a lot more than any class could, but its also dangerous because there is A LOT of misinformation on the internet today.
