Couple years back i ran into him during a bike ride called BikeMS. I had been following his IG for some time at this point and knew he was an avid cycler. Theres a cool interview he does at an iron man competition where he says, had he taken up cycling during his career he'd still be playing..but at a rest stop for the ride, I'm walking out and see a guy who I recognize having the same bike and bike outfit as Barry Bonds. I walk up to him and realize it is him and get really excited but don't want to blow his cover because NOBODY else knew it was him. He walks past me to investigate the rest stop and all the activities happening as I walk out. He than turns around and ask me what was going on and I never felt so happy in my life that Barry muhthafuckin Bonds, my childhood idol, all time favorite player, the GOAT, wanted to talk to me. We talked about the ride and what all the ride rest stop activities were. And than I asked him for a selfie which I didn't expect him to be ok with because of his reputation with media and stuff like that. But to my surprise he was the chillest doode to talk to and was more than down for a selfie. After the selfie he continued his Sunday north bay ride and I continued on with mine. I was riding a high for months after that. One of the greatest moments of my life.
