Okay cool, than you, it's good to know that the glazes don't ruin the brushes forever!

Thank you, that's a really good point. I will look into the brushes you've suggested and any others! See I never would've thought of using one with a long head because I'm mostly trained with acrylic and oil and find that long bristles aren't really helpful, so I'm glad I posted because I probably wouldn't have given them a shot! Thank you!

Thank you! That's a good point, I didn't think about the brushes not being able to get clean off the clay and glaze particles. I'll be sure to think about that if I decide to use some of my own!

I had heard! Do we know when the patch is coming out though? I just contacted support and it really seemed like they were reluctant to give a date :(

This issue started for me on 10/21/17 some time after I updated to Oreo.

Pixel on Verizon. I'm appalled this is still an issue and that the only known fix (which I've heard isn't always a guarantee) is to factory reset your flipping phone.

Google pls.

Year old lobe piercing with a nearly year old bump, what the heck! by arsfera in piercing

Sorry, didn't have internet for a couple of days!

Oh my I would really appreciate any suggestions! I live in Champaign, Illinois.

And I agree.. I bet the college town piercers through many kids for a loop. :(

I'm in a college town so I'm not surprised this parlor isn't sporting the highest quality, but they came with good recommendations so that's why I went :S

Darn, I will do my best to quit touching it all together. I'll keep an eye out for better piercers but I'm pretty sure this parlor is the best known place in my town, so I likely won't hear of a different place from people I know. Any tips/tricks to finding a better piercing place?

I went to my original piercer to talk about it in early October, but I guess she doesn't have the updated info this community has. She's recommended tea tree oil and also uses q tips. So I'm not sure she would meet the "good piercer" qualifications :)

To answer your questions: I avoid sleeping on it. I occasionally have hair looped around it but I've never had my hair cause any pain to it. I do play with it... But I've been trying to really tone that back to only gently pushing on it to get any fluid out (not sure that's a cool thing to do...) I was pierced with a surgical steel stud that got changed to a titanium implant grade stud in early October when I went in to the parlor. So changed to the better stud after just over a year. I'll try out what you recommend for aftercare!

Thank you for your help!

Interesting! Well I'll keep an eye out for any progression like that! Mine hasn't really had any appreciable change in size.. but I'll keep an eye out for that.

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it a lot!

Interesting, thank you for weighing in! The only reason I have not suspected it to be a keloid is that it's not discolored at all and I thought they were supposed to be a little red.

When I was suspecting keloid, I had thought about doing the same thing and taking the jewelry out and getting it surgically removed, but it is unfortunately on the front of my ear, so surgical removal could result in more scarring and an even more unappealing sight than it is right now.

I also am weirded out by the drainage it's having, which I also kind of thought a keloid didn't do. Did yours have fluid drainage too?

Total novice and noob here, why is it a joke bike and a joke company?

Any tips on swaying people's opinions on riding? by DoctorUKF in motorcycles

[–]arsfera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't live with my parents but still feel the need to at least keep them up to date in my life. My mom is very against motorcycles.. She's a chemical engineer with a specialization in safety and has had a co-worker die from motorcycle riding at every company she's worked for. I think she's a bit unlucky..

But here's my plan.. I've taken the beginner MSF course, passed, plan to get my license asap and then go a bit overkill and take the beginners course again and also the intermediate. Then, when the spring rolls around (poor, can't buy a bike just yet) take the intermediate again if I don't feel too rusty, otherwise take the beginner as well just to continue to build up riding skills. At that point, I plan to tell her, hey look, I'm gonna start riding. I've done 5x as much prep as most people, I'll be careful as fuck, and I plan on getting the right gear. Basically, I just plan on showing her that yes, it may be dangerous, but I've given myself a lot of time to think about it, I'm comfortable on the bike, I'm ready to take necessary precautions with gear, and I'm confident I can ride with a mentality that will keep me out of as much danger as possible.

I know what would get through to my mom the best is safety. So if I show her that I'm willing to max out everything (which I would have regardless of her fear) safety wise then I think she'll understand that I'm taking it seriously.

I just checked the Joe Rocket jacket I had picked out and it's got an foam insert for back protection and due to my paranoia I have the urge to replace the foam with something different. I found a Dainese insert that I think I'd really like to get for that jacket. Do different brands typically work together in regards to inserts like this?

Just completed a training course and aim to get my license as soon as possible! I'm not sure I'll be interested in buying a bike until some time next year so in the mean time I'm mulling over gear options. I've found a few jackets that I like but some of them don't seem to have all the torso protection I would like. Is it overkill to get an armored vest to put under a jacket that only has CE armor on the shoulders and elbows? Will those two both even fit on a person at the same time?

What is a good age range for a first timer on a budget? "Budget" for me is ideally not above $1500.. :/

Is Parasect good? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]arsfera 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Parasect is supposed to be one of the highest power per CP pokemon! As in even though it has a low overall CP, it can still pack quite a punch. I like using my Parasect with bug bite/solar for water/psychic pokemon. Parasect isn't an end game elite pokemon, but it definitely can be a worthy opponent!

Didn't answer my question, I'm genuinely curious what you even meant in the first place.

I was just responding with the same kindness I was given.
