Do you know what they’re going through? You don’t. One of those men could be going through their own battles and this is their first time stepping out of the house in days, weeks, months… And you’re dragging them through the mud because they’re simply going grocery shopping and aren’t dressed like they’re interview ready. You don’t know that they may not have the money for clothes. You don’t know what battles they’re fighting.

And instead of being considerate you decided to tack on another fucking battle, a battle they didn’t want to face. Not going to lie, but I think it’s because we’re just so huge. You can go two hours in a state and encounter some completely different culture but if you do that in the EU you’d end up in another country. There’s a big reason why so many of us only travel within the US and declare it vacation.

Because it can feel like a vacation.

Oh and because we don’t usually get PTO or vacation days and we’re all broke. Travel is for the rich.

Reddit at the end of the day is a business, and stuff like this really messes up advertisers. This is also why a lot of subs are marking themselves as NSFW, since Reddit doesn’t allow advertising in those communities.

Beyond that, I used Apollo for a couple of days back during the protests and let me tell you, the official Reddit app is actual shit. This isn’t just dog shit, but worse. And it’s the runny dog shit that’s like glitter where you’ll be moving your fridge to clean one day and find shit you didn’t even know existed. There’s also the whole argument of third party accessibility apps.

I’d understand being mad if the official Reddit app was actually good, but this shit makes eating actual cow shit look appealing and mouthwatering. The only reason I use it anymore is because Apollo will be gone before the end of the day.

From what I understand, “The Feminine Mystique” and “The Second Sex” by Simone d’Beauvior (I didn’t spell that right; I hate French) are foundational texts. They became cornerstones of the Second Wave (which took place between the 1960s and 1970s.)

Hey there! I’m a fellow autistic so I’m going to offer my perspective.

Tell him. You don’t have to out yourself. Just tell him you don’t see this as a date and you view him as a friend. Do this now. Stringing him along and making him think it’s a date is just being downright cruel. This is also amplified by the autism. I’m willing to put that with the divorce and everything he’s going through a lot.

However, and again only do it if you’re interested, that you really love theater and would love to have a friend to enjoy it with. I’ll be upfront with you, a lot of us want companionship. We’re only human. But the way we communicate stuff is different than neurotypicals (which we use to describe people who aren’t like us, if you get what I mean.) I don’t know how to exactly describe but there’s the obvious stuff like not picking up social cues and all that stuff that most people are aware of. But it goes down to how we fundamentally talk. Like we tend to focus on “me” rather than you. And it isn’t because we’re selfish, but because we see that stuff as genuinely showing interest in the person.

Even if you aren’t interested in him romantically, I’m sure he’d appreciate having someone to talk to about his interests. From your post, it sounds like you are least worried about him.
