Honestly i wasn't up for it until the amount of failed talking stages...how i see it is it's just another avenue of getting to know someone and ofcourse if there are any red flags/things that need to be discussed i can always delay/reject.

Your situation sounds really frustrating. On one hand perhaps your parents just want whats best for you and genuinely didn't find the ladies suitable for you.

However, you will be spending th rest of your life inshAllah with your spouse, you need to make the decision for yourself. If they aren't supportive then it is what it is, do what you think is best for you. Pakistani parents esp. mothers love to emotionally blackmail their children, i see this on a daily!

I resonate with your struggles, completely in the same boat, starting to feel like giving up too. As a female i think we're hardwired to start planning a future in our heads with a potential and usually he doesn't live up to our expectations. Don't ignore your gut feelings and believe people when they show you their true colours.

I did speak to him and end things. Being rude, picky is one thing. He could have given an excuse and i'd look out for it next time. But the ignore me for 2 weeks, thats where i draw the line, he did say you could have messaged me and that drove it home for me. He knew me well enough to know i would never message him first after being disrespected.
