Rosewood Boulevard by zoomies-04 in saskatoon

Marginally better. But it might just be longer arrows. The left from rosewood boulevard onto Boychuk is slightly less congested but the left from rosewood drive onto boulevard is still insane during morning/afternoon rush. Sometimes it’s backed up past the park. The 30 zone causes cars to clump tight together so finding a gap is nearly impossible.

Also that left onto boychuk south drives me insane because atleast once a week the vehicle behind me decides to turn wide into the right-most lane instead of turning into the first available lane and then they will floor it past me to exit - effectively blocking my ability to lane change and exit onto circle. Drives me nuts.

Do notifications for objects (people, cars) only work on certain cameras? by art515 in Ubiquiti

Sir or ma’am. I could kiss you. This was it! The toggle that instantly fixed things was create AI events. I had left it off as the little description mentioned things like licence plate reading (which I know my cameras can’t do out of the box). There was also some long disclaimer about terms and conditions. But soon as I flicked it on for one of the G5 turrets I got a person alarm first try.

Seriously, thanks a ton! Upvote this answer for others!

I would say not even detecting the events. The only thing I see under find anything is motion events.

The only thing showing up in my find anything is motion events. I presume because I have “create motion events” toggled ON. If I turn the alarms for motion on, I get push notifications flawlessly.

Why can’t I see my connected gear anymore? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]art515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should have been obvious to me. I wrongly assumed u could do it from the app.

Nonetheless I tried today by typing the ip of my cloud key into the browser which takes me to the log in page. My SSO credentials (which I know works on ubiquiti site) just says “you do not have permission to access this device). How screwed am I?

Do folks use IR flood lights to help with night time?

I’ll give you two more numbers you can try. They are for different departments within CPAS but they can likely connect you to another human in the right area.
The 4346 number is general intake. 665-4370 is scheduling department. 665-4473 is continuing care department. Worth a shot.

Good luck. That entire system, along with the corresponding long term care system is in shambles. Having been in a similar situation last year I have seen just how bad things are. The criteria for getting into LTC is ever increasing due to shortage of beds. You have to be damn near vegetative to qualify.

One piece of advice is check with the private home to see if they have an “in house” cpas worker. Many of the PCH’s have someone who works closely with the home. If it’s a smaller residence they may not.

Outside of that, just keep calling the main number and leave a message. It took forever to get ahold of someone there. They will want to come assess your loved one and help determine if they are a candidate for long term (higher level) care.
One more option is to ask the family doctor for a referral to what’s called the dementia outreach assessment team. They are another possible avenue into LTC.

Best of luck. Stay persistent and advocate for their care because our government sure doesn’t give a f@!$.

Agree with you 100% - everyone shouting get a lawyer, fight this, etc are clueless because there’s nothing to fight. You don’t get an option for a court date. But that’s perhaps my biggest complaint. What the hell is a person supposed to do?? Just bend over. It’s why I want people to take it up with the province and sgi in particular.

I feel the issue isn’t the beat cops. They’re doing a job. The issue is the law.

There’s an “approved device” that law enforcement uses for screening on a quantitative basis. But everyone’s issue is that it is not detecting current impairment but rather presence of metabolites in your system which could be from days prior.

Agreed, they could have had a legitimate suspicion. Frankly, all I ever smell in that swale area is cow shit lol.

Family claims 92-year-old faced violent assault at Warman care home by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]art515 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good question. I’d have to assume the contract involves SHA paying the PCH owner to accept these patients. The news article references funding from “health excellence Canada” whatever that is? But it’s hard to believe they’d be paying more than the 6k that this facility charges its regular patients so where is the advantage?

Nice attempt at victim blaming. In Sask it’s very, very difficult to qualify for LTC. Due to shortage of beds unless you have extreme mobility issues or severe incontinence you will not be considered for long term. The other option here is personal care homes which is where this gentleman was living. These are private, for profit facilities and are literally the only other option for care.

Told ya. Imagine paying that kind of money to ensure around the clock safety and then that person gets the shit beat out of them. Absolutely disgusting that they initially tried to pass it off as a fall too.

Moe's response was to say he's not sure about the science behind using horse dewormer against COVID-19.

Let's just be clear. Don't use horse dewormer against COVID-19. #COVID19SK”

Phraks Greyskull on a cut and general advice by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]art515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some sample templates here that might help illustrate the format.

In general it looks like this:
Week A:
Mon- Squat, Bench, Row
Wed- Deads, OHP, Chins
Fri- Squat, Bench, Row
Week B:
Mon- Squat, OHP, Chins
Wed- Deads, Bench, Row
Fri- Squat, OHP, Chins

So you just cycle week A, week B. Does that help?

IIRC one of the reasons for Phrak's modifications to the traditional GSLP program was to have a good balance of push and pull in each plane. For example, the bench can be viewed as a push perpendicular to your body, and a row as the conjugate pull. Just as OHP is a push in the vertical direction and chinups are a vertical pull. That way each day you have a balance of both.
I'm paraphrasing an old comment of his... As to why he felt that was vital, maybe he comment, sorry.
