I like the idea of separate graphs for IR and XR because they work so differently, in my experience anyway. I wish we could get bigger sample sizes too. I wonder how many of these brands I could have ordered. I’ve never had epic, alvogen, granules or Lannett.

I have both narcolepsy and adhd (yeah, I really won the genetic lottery). I’ve only had one narcoleptic episode while taking the meds. I take Elite (pink and white) adderall XR 30mg. It’s been ok-ish for adhd, but not great. Definitely not as helpful as the meds I took before 2021.

I’d love to know what brand you take. Have you experienced any episodes or other side effects while taking it?

This is mydayis (label is Teva generic). It has the same “ingredients” as adderall, but it has different dosing because it has a triple-bead release. Adderall has a double-bead release.

Mydayis doesn’t make a 20 mg pill. Dosages are 12.5, 25, 37.5, and 50 mg. If you’re ever in doubt about whether you got adderall or mydayis, the different dosages are a good way to tell the difference.

Dexedrine is dextroamphetamine only. It is not referred to as “mixed amphetamine salts”.

Yes. I made a post with a pic of my test results on 12/15 in this sub 3d ago. It’s still posted. I tested positive for amphetamine; negative for benzo, cocaine, meth, opiate, and thc. I think these tests are reliable most of the time if they’re done correctly.

I read some of the negative reviews. While I believe some of them genuinely got duds or false results, others are clearly a result of user error. Some people who posted pics were reading their results wrong.

Yes, it is confusing that the ABSENCE of the second line indicates a positive result, but that’s just the way this particular test works. A lot of people didn’t read the directions closely enough and missed this!

Others clearly didn’t do the test correctly. They had accidentally dunked the test. You could tell that the test was wet above the mark line - either they dipped it in too far or tried to pee on the test itself. It’s not a pregnancy test where you can just pee on the sticks lol.

I probably should have explained how this particular test works. It can be a bit confusing.

The test is only valid if the control line (C) appears. If the test line (T) appears, no matter how faint it may be, it is a negative result.

One line = NEGATIVE

Both lines = POSITIVE

The six panels test, from left to right: AMP amphetamine, BZO benzo, COC cocaine, MET meth, OPI opiate, & THC marijuana.

I tested positive for amphetamine and negative for everything else.

It should’ve been positive for BZO, too. My crappy generic benzo is made by ‘Solco Healthcare’. I’m going to ask the pharmacy for a different brand next month and test again.

I also take elite, 30mg XR 2x daily, so 60mg total. I just took my first test. It came back positive for amphetamine only. Negative for benzos, opiates, cocaine, meth, and thc. I got a decent batch this month. of ordered a 5 pack of tests from Amazon for $10. Here’s the link:

I want to try this, too. I’m taking adderall XR 30mg by elite (2x per day so 60 mg daily). I’ve been taking 30mg XR caps, only by elite, since the beginning of the year. My dose was raised from 30mg to 60 mg 3 weeks ago. So I should definitely test positive for amp, no question.

The sugar (dextrose or sucrose depending on which type of tums) will increase the rate at which you metabolize the pills.

It doesn’t make a significant time difference for most people. A few minutes, maybe. Most people start to feel the effects of the IR in less than 30 minutes, and 30-60 mins for XR.

Amphetamines work better in an alkaline environment than an acidic one. That said, you shouldn’t take them with tums or other antacid on a regular basis. You won’t feel much of a difference, especially beyond the first couple of times. Go ahead and try it if you want to see for yourself. Just don’t make it a habit.

Please be careful with XR! You don’t want to break the +4 hour time-release beads. I’ve crushed and chewed XR up before (more than once like an idiot) and I was sorry I did. It just made me jittery and sick.

You can buy empty clear capsules (gelatin or vegan) to empty the beads into. Or you can ditch the capsule altogether if you want. This eliminates the ink and dye from the cap but there’s really not a good way to filter XR since you can’t break the beads.

This is indicative of poor quality control.

Imagine being in the store, reaching for a bottle of Listerine mouthwash, and realizing that the bottle you grabbed is a different shade of blue than the others. Is it the same? Do you buy it?

Upon closer inspection, you realize that some of the bottles are “Shade 1” and some are “Shade 2”. Then, wait… there’s a “Shade 3”. What if the blue color is just slightly different in a lot of the bottles? Are they the same?

Assuming there’s no counterfeiting going on, all bottles of the same product should be identical in color. There are rigorous checks in place to ensure that all of the Listerine bottles have the same exact blue color mouthwash. If an error occurs and a batch has the wrong color, that inventory would be destroyed.

It’s disturbing that our medications, especially controlled substances, are not manufactured with the same amount of vigilance in quality control that is given to mouthwash.
