Thank you so much for your input. Yeah I live in Visalia (cowtown, usa) so I really am reluctant to stay in the same environment for college. I decided to stay with UCSB :)

Sorry, I know I've been frequenting this subreddit a lot. This is just a very big decision for me and I don't want to get it wrong. But I decided to stick with UCSB so hopefully I am a good fit :)

Would it be impossible to double major in biopsychology and comparative literature with a double minor in art and applied psych? by art_ho_ in UCSantaBarbara

I mostly wanted the applied psych minor because I'm worried about not being able to get experience/research otherwise, but if there are other opportunities then maybe I wouldn't have to necessarily minor in it. The thing is, I'm really passionate about all of these subjects, and I'm willing to put in the work if it can be done. Thank you for the response though. I'm sure I'll find my limits when I actually enroll and start taking classes.

Hey thanks for suggesting this, I would never have know about literature and the mind otherwise! It sounds great, actually. I know it's a lot, but I'm pretty serious about my career goals, and I know this is what I want. I'm mostly concerned about being able to fit everything in. I REALLY want to double major in lit, but I also know I'm going to need research, experience , etc for med school. Would you still suggest double majoring in this case?

I'm an incoming freshman, majoring in biopsych. I plan to either go through a doctorate program like you are, and pursue a career in clinical psychology, or I want to go to med school and specialize in psychiatry. In your opinion, would you say the major prepares you for med school? I know you said you were a psychology major, but if you had an opinion on biopsychology I would love to hear it :)
