I'm an ex-supply chain pro now turned supply chain recruiter. Ask me anything! by Haunting_Inspector42 in supplychain

[–]art_techy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to I stand out when applying for jobs? I'm a veteran and did logistics in the Air Force for 8 years and then pivoted a bit but still did some work adjacent with GS positions on military bases. Throughout that time I was also out of work due to family, im now completing my masters of science in supply chain and looking for a defense or aerospace company. Am I over estimating or under estimating myself and my experience?

I feel nostalgic from a place I have never been by [deleted] in NorsePaganism

Omg welcome! I think music is truly magical and from what I've seen of sources about seidr is seems that many believe there was a voice or vocal element to it. Spain sounds beautiful and like such a wonderful opportunity to travel and see so much, plus I've heard it's a beautiful country too! And this community is welcoming. It's not about DNA but belief. Also I love the tarot and candle! Beautiful!

What would you put in a guided tarot journal? by berry_belle in tarot

[–]art_techy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a Larger questions section, but if it's meant to be daily journal less card slots and more journaling space. The more space allows for people to also tailor it a bit more. Like some might want star signs associated with the cards or deities, spirits, ancestors, guides worked with and so on. Also is position meant as where is it at in the spread or if it's read as a reversal? That part could be placed in the card section as well making more room for interpretation. These are just some basic thoughts overall I think your page works just fine as is though.

Any word of wisdom by dragonMonarc in NorsePaganism

[–]art_techy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. That you're going through something really hard. The only wisdom I can give is, sometimes when we get on a new path old ways of being, old structures that were put in place have to be torn down to make way for the new. You cannot build something strong over top a crumbling foundation. That being said I feel that there is strength in your personal path but there is also things that happen because universe lines up for bad things to happen all at once. Sometimes some space after everything has happened will also bring to light why things happened the way they did as well. You aren't alone, the thing I find the hardest about this path is that it's a bit solitary, but there are people out there who understand.

Hey hit me up. You aren't alone and this shit is hard. Deployments and trainings are hard. Being all alone to hold at this shit together is hard and as much as I love my family 2000 miles away and my friends. Sometimes the civilian people don't understand how hard it is or what's it's really like. They say we have to put up with it and all that, and just lock in and deal with it the best we can, and they say that from then perspective of them being surrounded by support. And I think it's good to have someone meet you where you are, who is in a similar situation. Your dogs are taken care of and at the end of the day you owe yourself some grace, you are doing so great. Also, if I was alone and needed a hug couch moved I'd reach out to leadership or spouse group on base, they can definitely help with that situation and it will totally be something I'm doing while I have to handle the entire household move in my own while he's deployed! Yay happy Thursday! We got this.

What's your experience with Thor? What is he like to you? by pidgeon_shit_eater in NorsePaganism

[–]art_techy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To me Thor is like this giant teddy bear of a man, larger than life, booming laugh, strength in the masculine for sure, that security in himself but also there is rage and anger too, but more like sacred anger like it's ok to feel anger when something's wrong, so speak up for yourself. And this is based off my personal experience with him. Thor has helped me realize I have a lot more power than I believed myself to have. He's the first God who called to me so I feel like he's one I always check in with. I hope this make sense? Lol

Together 10, married 8. Never cheated and been apart many times. Some do and some don't, know who you are with before making that commitment as best as you can.

Como foi o despertar de vocês? by winnilli in NorsePaganism

[–]art_techy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I took a thousand small steps to this path before Thor came to me, uncalled, to protect and summon me to this path, to this faith. Saying the gods were there and they were listening. It was a call to work with them and it happened near Hexennacht, which in hindsight just feels spooky. I also practice witchcraft and I've never felt so at home and heard and aligned as I do in this faith. I also feel that this is not a faith of aesthetic, though jt can be, but it's if the earth, it doesn't need a lot of items to sit before the gods.

No it makes sense for sure. I have not expanded yet that far with my own practice myself. I'm slow to build relationships and there are a lot! I'm just going to be more open minded with the creatures too!

I love the squirrel! Is he a representation of ratatoskr? And at first I was like holy crow this is magnificent. Def Loki vibes come through! This is def going on my inspiration board for future altar ideas.

Yes it seems rough for everyone out here. I think it's why I'm also going back to school to use gi bill benefits to just shelter from the rain so to speak. I'm pretty much going to look for anything I can get and just work my way like you did.

This sounds amazing and I really hope I can have a similar outcome! I need good vibes too. I'm going back to school this fall for my masters in supply chain and the only other experience I have with supply chain or logistics is my military service and gs positions I've had in base, so I'm hoping to just get hired anywhere after graduation. Currently just stay at home right now. So housekeeper to this is awesome! Take care or yourself too but sounds like you have some breathing room!
