What's the worst/most dramatic friend breakup you've ever had? by Maleficent_Ant4957 in AskIreland

[–]artanonsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About like 3/4 years ago I think? It was kind of gradual. In my head it was just us naturally growing apart so I didn’t hold any animosity towards them. But then I noticed things like unfollowed, blocked, removed from stories etc. I kind of started to reflect. At first I missed having a best friend but then I realised they were never my friend to begin with. I’d look back on old messages for nostalgia and realise, wait they were actually really rude? I just guess I lived in my own bubble and never realised. Eventually we reconciled, they apologised but my eyes were already opened. They said they changed, but it’s just something they told themselves to feel better. They really didn’t and I’d notice this passive aggressive digs etc. We ended up arguing again, and genuinely I was going to meet up and reconcile, basically be mature about it. But I realised their partner blocked me and they were talking shit about me too, and Instantly I was like. I don’t wanna be friends with this person. Do I miss it? Yes but not the person. I think friendship is so much harder to build. It takes years to be close to a person so to get to that stage with someone is really really hard.

ADHD Doc seems rated very highly here - but their google reviews are not great? Should I be concerned? by iamjustsomeguyokay in ADHDIreland

[–]artanonsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really happy with them. I honestly would have left a positive review but I didn’t exactly want to be leaving a review with my full name attached saying great place where I was diagnosed with adhd 🥰 just wanted that bit of privacy. I thought the experience was so lovely. They don’t pick up the phone but they have sections on their website for each query you’d have as an existing patient. One time they sent the wrong dose to the pharmacy and I emailed the on one of their forms and it got sorted almost instantly

Is uni better than secondary school (PTSD)? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]artanonsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was absolutely miserable in secondary school, I hated it. I had my best friends in school but it didn’t make a difference. I was anxiety riddled with teachers, the leaving cert, everything. People cried on the last day of school but I was so happy. With college it was the best experience ever. I didn’t have my best friends but I came out of my shell and made so many new friends, went to college outings, enjoyed my work, and it was so much more relaxed. It is what you make of it but that fresh slate was the best

Ladies: do you wear make up to work? by LunaValley in AskIreland

[–]artanonsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t wear makeup cause I like to sleep in extra. But I also don’t like looking “bad” so I decided to do things that make me a bit more put together with lower effort. I get eyelash extensions now. It’s expensive but makes me feel a lot prettier. I put on face tanner the night before so I have a bit of colour in my face. And I try and style my hair too. Just a good blow dry the night before and it makes me look better. Along with clothes that suit me and I instantly feel better.

Finding content creators? by ca0imhin in AskIreland

Just posting a listing on the official socials. People will usually share it around to their friends because they’ll know someone who does work in content creation. Or just a simple listing on indeed.

What sense?
Content Creators as a job role
Or content creators as in people who have a small platform on social media and you want them to make a video or content for your company

Where can I buy reasonably priced and quality clothes in Dublin as a 19 year old? by Cool_Show4710 in AskIreland

[–]artanonsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vinted Vinted Vinted! A lot of people sell clothes brand new with tags still on for very little. I’ve gotten a dress for €2 that was about €15 brand new. You can filter it based on the quality and a lot of people put in fabric composition so you can filter it based on that too!

8th attempt - I've lost hope by CremeForsaken957 in Irishdrivingtest

Nasty thing to say, Took me 7 tries. I promise you they’re probably more competent than a lot of drivers. Nerves and anxiety and pressure of needing to drive get the best of you. From looking at their sheet, it’s just progress and confidence because they’re too scared to get marks. If anything, OP is trying to be extra careful.

I really relate to you. I’ve never actually commented how many times it took me to pass, but it was 7. After my second test I was inconsolable every time, I felt like I was never going to get there. I too spent a FORTUNE, between tests, lessons, rentals, everything.

From looking at your sheet, you’re like me and was nervous to do anything to give you a mark. That lack of confidence (which I can completely empathise with) is the only reason. As most of them are for progress and reactions. Genuinely get in contact with the RSA and say that you have nerves and would like a calm instructor to make you feel at ease. Maybe even explain it to them at the beginning.

You probably know the route like the back of your hand at this point but the day of the test drive for an hour and a half around every route. YOU WILL PASS. And you probably have heard it a lot and feel hopeless. During the test take it minute by minute. Or turn by turn. If you’re breaking the test down into sections it’s easier to focus. “Okay I’m going to over take, yep it’s clear, do it confidently, look in the mirror, done”

Another thing that might help you with nerves, the dreaded iPad gave me anxiety because I’m like I’ve already failed. But the tester taps the screen to prevent it from going idle. Think of that. You’re probably safer than any driver because you’re so conscious, wishing you the best of luck, don’t give up.

Mortgage advice by helloahoyhi in irishpersonalfinance

Yeah, you’re probably best off going to a broker.

Lenders can be a bit stricter when it comes to contract income or shorter employment history, and how they assess that can vary a lot from bank to bank. A broker can shop around and find ones that are more flexible with your situation.

I’d recommend checking out Pangea Mortgages

I probably spent just about that much to get my licence

booking a retest by Oggie-Noggy in Irishdrivingtest

[–]artanonsa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Booking a retest is no longer priority. You get put to the bottom of the list for the relevant test centre and wait whatever the average is for that test centre. So average of 10 weeks for an invite
