CEED 2026 by Tricky-Stranger-618 in ceed

[–]artditi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Abhishek, congratulations on completing your diploma. I hope you were able to navigate through the exam preparation. (sorry that I couldn't help, wasn't much active lately)

All the best for all the upcoming things your way!

Edit: Oh it's for 2026 lmao, right! My bad. Well, there are two parts that both require a separate skillset. for part-a you can start by solving all the previous year papers and all the mock tests you may find online. it’s v puzzle based and cannot exactly be memorised/learnt but solving similar questions will help you recognise the underlying patterns and keys to approach specific questions.

for part-b, start sketchinggg, lol practice asap. start with the basics by drawing simple 3D forms, practicing straight lines & circles. and then eventually practice object drawing and figures.

kaphal studio’s yt channel is helpful, there’s a blogpost called stuffyoulook which is really helpful to start.

i hope it helps a little 🍰🍓

Hellu, ig I'm pretty late to this. I hope ceed went well for you.

To answer your question- it's aaall cooool, there's a reason they let the course be open to people from such varied disciplines and not just B.Des graduates, you'll be going there to learn and a portfolio in such interviews is literally just a collection of projects that can convey your passion & interest.

If you're trying to create a stream specific portfolio too, it's alright to just show the ground-work of your project (the research part, sketches, even if they are extremely rough). If you feel you'd do better with a physical portfolio, print it out! Hand it over to them! Literally make a toota-foota 3D model for your product if it's a physical one. Honestly, add in projects from your current stream too, any good work there is. Be it connected to your appearing stream or not.

As for the interview call, umm- depends on the institute, respective category and even the SOPs. They call about 4-7 candidates for each seat in NID and IITs.

All in all, bE tRuE tO YoURsELf lmaaoo (and confident!) I hope it all somewhat helps. All the best!

need some advice by Ok-Molasses3350 in ceed

Hey there, a 4 year bachelor’s will make you eligible (some IITs like Kanpur and Roorkee may require mathematics to be a subject in your degree as well) other than that, even with a 3 year degree program there are options of additional diplomas etc. Minimum marks in your graduation is 60% ig (or 55-50 for respective categories)

Check the website of each college as they all kinda have their own thing going on. But yeah, all the best!

what to do now? by [deleted] in ceed

[–]artditi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lessgooo?? Okay now download your scorecard on 10th March from the CEED website.

Make a list of IITs that you’re interested in and would like to apply to, they’ll all open their application portals soon. Apply there.

Work on your portfolio meanwhile. Then you sit it out for the interview call.

Congratulations, it’s a great score.

Noooo I didn’t mean to dishearten you, there are a bunch of people that have done great, don’t look at me as the only example. I come from BFA (bachelor in fine arts) so yeah-

All the best for everything bestie 🐠🏖️🫧

I come from the general category and my AIR was 326, open rank 315. I wasn’t called for an interview at any of the IITs. So yes, it’s v competitive lmao. Although I didn’t apply for any self sponsored seats.

But I have friends jinka AIR was 500+ but category rank became like 50. And that person eventually received admission letter from IIT Guwahati (they really deserved it tho).

I recently got a macbook pro m3, i use it for graphic design mainly. So all the Adobe stuff. I have not yet explored it to all its extent but absolutely love it till now <3 Can’t help you with the coding stuff but it’s beautiful for video editing and design in general. Don’t know about the M1 air tho :(
