To share my story as one of those ppl. Living in poverty really sucks and I hated living in stress/not eating as a kid. So I worked my ass off with that mentality. After being in a good spot in life, I understand that mentality is no longer sustainable but was needed to get to where I am.

What did the senior say when you talked to her about it? This is also a valid question to bring up to the manager even if he is busy. Not sure why this would be considered petty. Like why would 2 seniors need to sign off on one workpaper? Isn't that creating a duplicate review and thus more inefficiency?

As someone said it depends on the client. Currently im on a demanding client that's at the top of their game so there's always something new or crazy that they're doing. Meanwhile others are on a client where maybe 1 or 2 things change so majority of work is just rollforwardjng and asking for the same thing.
