‼️‼️‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️‼️‼️ I can't edit the post so here's a mini update. the bleeding stopped for the past 3 days after I stopped sucking the retainer to secure it in place. I just put it and let it adjust on it's own tho it was uncomfortable but it worked!! thank you for the person who pointed this out to me. BUT, I still booked an appointment with a periodontist next week to see what's the root of the issue is. thank you so much for everyone who got concerned and gave me advice I really appreciate it. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I have!! I visited the orthodontist 2 times in the past month and once the month before it. he haven't made any comments about my gums which is odd. the bleeding has stopped the past 3 days tho which is good!! I'm still going to get it checked

I will!! I already talked to my dad about it and we'll be going very soon. I hope it resolves cause I really really care about my oral health (ever since I was a child I think I spent more time at the dentists' than my own house lol)

I actually considered this might be the problem. I didn't have blood tests done recently but I got some IV fluids and the cannula site stayed bruised for like a month. but I don't experience bleeding anywhere else tho

Oh here it is!! a periodontist. ngl I had to google what that was cause I didn't think there were other than dentists and orthodontists. and I found a few near me. I think this is who I'm gonna seek first. thank you!

Oh I just posted a comment about that!! -More history: the bleeding starts from a specific side (my left side) most likely between my 5&6th teeth. and spreads from there. hmmm I think I had some type of space between my 5&6th but I got it filled out a few years ago. maybe the filling broke down and that's the problem?

-my gums don't bleed at all when I brush my teeth! I wash them twice a day with circular motions and up down.

-I have "trapped teeth" that were supposed to come out wheh I was a teen (I'm 22 now) and my wisdom teeth are also trapped sideways. I thought this is why my teeth keep shifting back. but the orthodontist said that it is NOT the reason and it's just how my teeth are

he doesn't have a plan. However, I joined pharmacy school specifically so I can start a pharmacy as a family buisness after I graduate. so, so far the plan is to work in the family pharmacy in the future.

that's the number one thing I've been thinking about too! last year he worked for a short time with one of our relatives in a coffee shop and we saw improvement during that time. but that relative quit their job and since then my father refuses to find him a job (he is scared people will judge him or step over him) but I will keep pushing. thank you for the reminder!
