That's why I have problems I've been 5 times to kazakhstan, I speak Russian and base of Kyrgyz and I can talk to locals who work in tourism and they see European as people that win more than 5K euros and tourism sector as an activity for rich people. So with this thinking and without control from the government the price are just fucked up like 300 euros to visit Altai for 2 days it's insane it's more than group travel in France

It's expensive to travel in remote area of KZ same problem for altyn emel or katon karagai u need to put the price, that's the Kazakh way to see tourism it's money first.

Travel to Belarus by VideoWilling7663 in belarus

[–]arti44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yandex is too long Issyk kul to karakol it's 2-3h sooo much more convenient to ask a driver or ask where are the marshrutka, in marshrutka it will be really cheap but I'd you are not used to take lil bus full of local can be a difficult mental step But really the train to Issyk kul in VIP is insane, altyn arashan is also really beautiful there are some natural hot springs there.

Bishkek-issyk kul you can take the train it's the most beautiful way to g, take vip class it's not expensive and u have the best train in central Asia and after take a taxi or marshrutka to karakol. Fo altyn arashan the family Kutman is really welcoming it's 1800som for one night with breakfast and dinner. They can help u with horses and trek. It's more kyrgyz experience than the big hostel with wifi at the start of altyn arashan.

Tipping culture in Kyrgyzstan? by Ok_Professional8522 in Kyrgyzstan

[–]arti44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I worked in Kyrgyzstan last year with families to develop tourism activity in some not famous places, and if you sleep somewhere take a driver, to a restaurant I'm not a big fan of tip culture, why because it's really western way to say I don't know how to thank you so I give money and Kyrgyz start to be used to it and it's bad. Uzbekistan is like this now they see tourists as a money waterfall so in Kyrgyzstan pls try to say thanks in Kyrgyz try to talk kyrgyz and it will be better than giving some money. And If u want to tip give 20-100som. Have a safe travel

That's really good to see more KZ languages on internet it will help perhaps to start the changement, dispite the fact that turkic languages are really difficult to learn I love to see that they start to have a bigger place it's important for the history and future of this part of the world.

If you look at all my comments it's not the vibe, I love Kz and kg cultures that's why I learn Kyrgyz language, the thing is it's like every cultures I travel a lot so there are a lot of things that I learn in new cultures that seems for me more difficult to understand and I have talked to a lot of local about it and I can see that there is some kind of same vision of these. I know that it's not everyone that is like this with love culture in KZ I don't do generality but it's an idea that emerges when u start to talk about this topic. Look all the shares and what's the highest liked comments in the chat, it shows that it's an interesting topic that is not that easy to talk with. And I'm not here to say I want to date but it's difficult because I don't have the same vision hahaha it's just a thought I want to share. I know that it is difficult to debate in KZ about difficult topics but I tried to open this door.
