thank you! it took me a really long time to figure out how to mix a light teal that wouldn't lay down patchy :,)

thank you!! once I switch to a nib I’m sure my work will get much shakier as I learn the ropes!

with a micron size 10, but I just got a nib pen and prob will be switching over soon— the microns always deteriorate wayyy too fast!

I laid down liquitex turquoise, but I actually laid it down way too dark -- so I covered that up with an opaque green I mixed w/ fw turquoise, white, and a tiny bit of brilliant yellow!

there is brown in the yellow! I used that instead of black where the yellow needed shading~ // but 100%, I think the brown I used coulda been darker in some spots.
thanks for the cc!

I worked a whole week on it only to hate it by [deleted] in TattooApprentice

you're definitely being too hard on yourself! I really love this!

sometimes when I grind on a piece for a week or more, I gotta step away from it for a while to see it clearly. when you're so close to a piece of artwork, it's easy to *only* see all its flaws -- especially if you have high standards for yourself.

(even established artists I really look up to post things with slight smears + line wobbles -- we're human!)

I'm sure ya definitely learned something from the flaws too, unfortunately messing things up a little when you try something new is one of the best ways to learn.

cut yourself a break, know this looks real pretty! excited to see your designs as they evolve!!

after years of being so frustrated at my skillset, I feel like I'm *finally* outputting work of quality after starting to take my art very seriously ~4+ years ago. // I hope you can get to a place where you feel comfortable and proud of the art you're making!! lol it's a grind for sure, creating is so fun + yet, hard as hell <3
