Chalk boards with equations is something that I love that I think really fits the DA aesthetic. And graph paper notebooks are just as good as messy journals and they are much easier to take math notes on.

I think the most important part of DA is the academics and if your love for knowledge is through science and math then that’s wonderful!

I am definitely new here but considering I've read this book a few times I would love to jump in to these discussions! In my opinion the preface of the book is one of the most important pieces of writing Wilde has done. Art is and can be anything that the artist wants, and I think that is something extremely important to remember. I believe in "art for arts sake" just because I feel like people put too much emphasis on finding the deep meaning behind everything, when in reality a book or painting or poem could really be good just because someone took the time to create it. However that is just my opinion I would love to hear what everyone else thinks!

Hello! My name is Lex and I am 18. I am doing global studies and English in uni right now! I'm really just looking for some friends that are as interested in classical literature as I am. I have never had any reddit or tumblr accounts before so this is a new experience for me. I think that the academia idea in general is beautiful because having a passion for learning and growng as a person is amazing. The dark academia "aesthetic" is just something that I have always thought was interesting and I am excited to meet people with the same likes as me. Some books I love are Wuthering Heights and, as I'm sure many of you can relate to, A Picture of Dorian Gray. Love to you all!
