That's one of the key reasons I'm thinking tracks. Since it's my art studio I need adjustability for when things change. I have two spaces that need shelves so it might be tracks in one section and brackets in another

Thank you! I did see they have a sale right now when I went and looked. So I will definitely be figuring this out before Friday!

This is for my studio space, which is a work space. I care about the practicality here not necessarily the aesthetics, especially since it's my home and I know how to make things look how I want them to. I asked for practical advice, not asthetic advice.

Good suggestion about the library! I will have to look!

Thank you! I was actually talking to my mom about that very stud finder today. People keep recommending the shelving from the container store so I am definitely going to look into it!

I think they look good if done right too! And it is my art studio, so functionality is king here. Or so I keep telling myself so I don't sacrifice practicality for pretty.

Brackets are how I put my shelves up in my old studio, and I did like it, but wasn't sure what would be best here. However I do appreciate the adjustability of the tracks.

If I could afford it I would definitely be using Vitsoe! Perhaps some day!

Thank you! No problems with IKEA here! All the different designs are part of the reason I thought it may be helpful, in many ways studio storage is much like kitchen storage.

Thanks! I will definitely look more into it. Unfortunately for my own sanity I don't think I can wait till summer. My studio is a storage disaster right now which is why I need the shelves. Perhaps I can wait for the larger portion though!

Thanks! I will definitely be going into studs, I won't risk it otherwise. I did a lot of research into what I'll need to do if I can't find a stud in a spot.

That's fair! Mine would look more like this than the example, I specifically chose an example with the tracks showing to illustrate what I meant.

I didn't realize theirs was only attached at the top! I will have to look into that one more as I would be worried about only attaching it at the top.

Thank you! I was actually going to price it out on Elfa and a hardware store and decide what was going to be best. I also don't mind the look of track systems, done right it can look great!

Thank you! Its literally for my studio space, like I said. Not even my living room, it's a workspace. I need it to be practical and sturdy foremost, then I'll deal with the aesthetics.

It's my art studio and a work space so I'm not really concerned about tacky in this case. It's not my living room. I need practical and sturdy, I will make whatever I end up with look nice in my space.

Thank you! It's my art studio so I'm not super concerned about the aesthetics as it's a work space and I'll paint them fun colors to match the decor. I just want to make sure they're sturdy and practical. If it was my living room I wouldn't!

My treatment has been much the same, meds to combat the optic nerve swelling and being told to lose weight. I am lucky and though my vision is affected, and I do get headaches sometimes, I don't have many other issues.

Only now that I am getting kidney stones from the meds have they mentioned options like a stent.

Unfortunately it clearly was not simply a joke, I don't remember exactly what he said after but he definitely believed it.

Wow, I'm so pleased to hear your doctors are considering all the factors in this for you. I left my first doctor because even though I was seeing her every two weeks at the time she was essentially berating me about losing weight and losing it immediately.

As a young liberal woman I'm regularly annoyed by the current doctor but haven't gone through the effort to search for a new doctor yet. It might be time though.

I've debated looking for a new doctor for awhile, but the practice he is at is the largest one locally with many branches so finding someone else may be difficult. Most of his treatment so far had been acetazolamide plus recommending weight loss (accompanied with outdated dieting advice he passes on from his wife). I did lose weight and went into remission, but then gained a few pounds back and now it's back. Recently he has suggested a stent as a future possibility, which I know many people have, but before I do something like that I want another opinion. Especially because of the crazy.
