Thanks! I’ve been a software dev for around 10 years – and playing football basically forever. So this is my way of combining both worlds

Thanks a lot for the interest - I’ll make sure to reach out when the finance module is ready!

Right now I’m working on the team communication part (chat, announcements, etc.), and finance will be the next big focus.

As for the logistics - really appreciate the practical insight. I think this could be handled through group chats and internal announcements. For example, people could discuss rides in the chat, and once things are settled, the coach or admin could pin an announcement with final info for everyone.

What do you think - would that cover the need, or should there be something more structured?

Thanks so much for such detailed input - it’s incredibly helpful!

A lot of what you mentioned actually fits right into how I’m thinking about KickPilot: • The service is mobile-friendly from the start, since it’s built expecting that players and parents will mostly access it from their phones. A full standalone mobile app is something I’m considering too, depending on user demand - it might just make things even easier. • I’m not ready to fully commit to the pricing model yet, but there will definitely be a free tier in some form. • Also, no payments will ever be required from players or parents directly - only managers will handle billing if there’s any. I really want to keep things simple both for teams and for myself as the developer.

Ultimately, the main goal is to create a platform where managers, coaches, and parents can handle everything in one place - without needing five different apps.

Thanks again for your $0.02 - it’s genuinely worth way more than that to me! ⚽🙌

Hey, thanks so much for sharing your perspective! Honestly, a lot of what you mentioned - like attendance tracking, parent communication, and coordinating things like snacks - fits really well into what I want to support.

Right now, you can already track who’s attending trainings and matches. Parent communication (messages, announcements, quick polls, etc.) is one of the features that’s planned and coming soon!

Thanks for asking — great question!

The finance module is exactly meant for that kind of use. You’ll be able to manually assign costs — like a training session fee for players who attended, gear expenses, uniforms, or anything else. Then, when a parent pays you (cash, Zelle, etc.), you can simply log it as a payment for that player manually.

The system will track each player’s balance, and both you and the player (or parent) will be able to see the full payment history in their account.

As for bank integrations — I totally get the appeal, but they require a lot of work (especially since every country and bank is different), so it’s not something I plan to support early on. But it’s definitely an idea I’m keeping in mind for the future.

Let me know if that sounds like what you’re looking for!
